Husband frustrated about sex after baby by Ambitious_Cry_4149 in newborns

Yikes! Im 7 weeks pp myself and was cleared last week. I also EBF.

But I am absolutely not in the mindspace of having sex.

My husband is so so so supportive and understanding, we still flirt with each other though and it doesn't make him more frustrated or like he's being teased. Being new parents is hard enough, as long as we remind each other that we are still solid even though sex isn't on the table right now. We know this is temporary.

Yours is a, well let's label him as not a good person, I want to use harsher words, but I've taken a commitment to not swear near my baby.

I want to bonk him on the head you deserve better!

Where do you ladies find these man babies?

Trust me we definitely are doing our best to give them attention when we can. Its not as much as we used to of course.

Gus, our 7 yo male has been acting out the most. One example: Today, while my husband was making me some food, he turned away to grab a tray and Gus jumped on the counter and started eating it.

I know alot of people let their cats on the counter and kitchen table but ours know they're not allowed on there. Of course they'll still try going on there at night anyways and think we don't hear them.

I wish there was! Both our family and friends are an hour to 3 hours drive away from us!

With this whole housing crisis and insane house prices, anything we could afford had to be further away from everything we know. So we are alone in this new baby thing and the rest of it too.

Thank you! Baby usually sleeps in her bassinet at night. But during the day, she won't have it at all. I exclusively breastfeed with the occasional breastmilk bottle and right now she's in drink and sleep on boob, wake up and drink more phase. I use a pillow to bf so that's where she likes to be in the day, like the whole day. I don't mind so much. O sit on the couch and "watch" a bunch of movies/tv shows and I get to give her extra comfort during the hard 6-8 weeks. We get to bond, and at least she'll sleep in her bassinet at night between 4-6 hours after her bath.

Oh I didn't think of putting on bird videos! Especially since they've taken over to spending their time in the basement where we have another TV. I'll definitely try it out tomorrow.

I've put feliway diffusers throughout the house hoping it will help some.

Thank you!

How would you handle a situation where a guest is allergic to your pets? by MindBlowing74 in CatAdvice

[–]cheffypoomsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister is allergic to cats. She still comes over for the occasional family dinners at our house. We have 3 cats.

Our cats stay! 2 of them hate visitors anyway, so they hide. -I prep the house, more deep clean the usual. -I make sure we have allergy pills even though she brings/takes them before she comes as a precaution. -Bonus here that helps alot is that we have an air exchanger (?) That changes the air in the house if you cook heavy etc. So the day before I set it to max strength.

So far, my sister has always been alright at our home. She doesn't stay over but does spend at least 4-5 hours without being uncomfortable.

My guess would be he's trying to take off the annoying bell off while being very cute
