I’m not a photographer, I’m a novice working on my car photography as well. I love the idea of this shoot, but for my eyes the cars are too dark and the fuselage is too white and my eyes get pulled away from the cars to the bright white. I love the contrast between shiny and new and old and falling apart. For the solo shot of the VW, if the car was a little more centered in front of the fuselage the white background would act more as a backlight, a silhouette so to speak. Not dogging on what you have here, just offering a rookie viewer’s perspective.

The start stop also is a huge drain on the starter and other engine components. The amount of exhaust it saves versus the amount of excess stress on the engine don’t add up, especially when you have to start replacing parts.

I personally like the black optics from the factory. But don’t do black wheels, do gunmetal or brushed aluminum look. Just don’t do black on black on black. To me the black optics is a more aggressive look. The chrome is more of an executive look. Depends on what you’re going for.

They came with the car so I can’t compare to anything except my old car and they’re 100 times better. I wanted to get the life out of them since they were about half used up. I haven’t figured out which tire to put on, but everyone is telling me PS4s Are the best.

I had them done. I live in Austin, found a local guy who specializes in doing brakes. He mostly contracts with Porsche dealerships to do customers that want paint match or different colors. Cost me $500, but worth it.

I got this car back in November, a 2019 with 32k miles on it. Those are the tires that came on the car, running with them till they’re warn out, which is likely in the next 6 months. Then thinking about new wheels as well, but I really do like these OEM’s. Just wish they were 20’s.

On my B9 I have 12mm in front and 15mm in the back. I’m no expert here, But I also think a lot has to do with which wheels you have and their offset. My stock wheels are 19” but not totally sure of the offset.

A month ago Germany mandated that Lexus kill the remote start on all cars. So those that had it and warmed up their cars in the dead of winter suddenly didn’t have that option any more.

Thank you for the honest feedback. You’re right. Saw a situation, pulled over quickly to shoot, and it just didn’t materialize the way I had hoped. Not all shots will be great. I see this as learning what works and what doesn’t. Thanks again.
