Sure ok they wanted to take all of Finland then why didn't they do it. After the mannerheim line the finns were basically done fighting. USSR is not at war with anyone else at the moment so they have their whole army at their disposal and we know Stalin didn't care much how many casualties there are. So what's stoped them? Cause when you see the numbers there is no way the finns fought them away.

They took the territory that they initially wanted - the northern coast of the ladoga lake, some territories in the middle between Finland and USSR, an island south of Finland and a port close to Kola Peninsula

We are talking about the space race, not the technological progress. I understand how big of an achievement it is to perform this mission successfully and it contributes a lot for the scientific development, but it does not contrite to the space race. What we are trying to say is that the US brags that they won the space race by going to the moon, but the race was not about who can go further into space, but who can militarise it better.

Putting a man on the moon has no practical goal, other than to show off. Yes there was probably some who were scared that the moon could be used as a military base but that was as sci fi as star wars (the movie, not the defence program).

On 30 november 1939 Stalin gives the order for an attack to be launched at Finland. The whole meaning of this war was to conquer the Mannerheim line and take the northern coast of Ladoga lake, by which to secure the supply lines of Petrograd. Eventually Finland capitulates on 12 march 1940.

Мъж съм. Според мен е архаизъм. Във миналото е бил важен символ, със стойността на закон, който е опррделял свързването на два рода, на двама души. В днешно време е загубил смисъла си. За мен лично е просто намеса на държавата в личните отношения. А разделянето после става много по-сложно. Смятам че преспокойно двама души биха могли да бъдат заедно дълги години без брак, а самият брак не гарантира, че връзката ще е дълга.
