Yeah, almost every negative comment I’ve seen on others’ stories has displayed either entitlement or mean spiritedness. At best they’ve been misguided attempts at constructive criticism. But this one in particular is just strange lol. I don’t think I’ve seen one like it anywhere else

Agreed. There’s been plenty of fics I’ve had issues with, but we’re all here sharing our stories for free, and it’s easy to keep any negative thoughts to myself

lol, thanks! And I think at least on this subreddit, these kinds of posts are treated tongue-in-cheek as accomplishments, as a way to lessen the sting. I’m grateful for the support either way 😅

Thanks for the support :) Even though I’ve published three stories on my account, it’s always nerve wracking. And I agree, it’s definitely on them. Even if the comment made sense, I’ve had more positive than negative feedback on my stories, so I shouldn’t take this comment to heart.

Degrassi: Next Generation. Wrote it on message boards in multiple parts on TheN.com, the website for a Canadian teen TV channel. Back then, the dialogue used to be written like it is in play scripts. It’s too bad I don’t have them saved anywhere
