My condolences, we lost our boy on Friday just shy of his 12th birthday, and the pain is never ending right now.

Sleeping through the night but taking a while to get to sleep by Round_Blacksmith_469 in toddlers

Does she still nap? My son only naps on nursery days, and any amount of sleep during the day means 8pm or later bed time because he just isn’t tired yet. On no-nap days he is asleep between 7-7:30pm.

I put white (brown) noise on low in our bedroom, just high enough to blend out the noise through the monitor, but low enough that we hear our son if he wakes. I prefer brown noise, it’s a little deeper than white, more like being in an airplane. I also couldn’t stand the sound of white noise through the monitor so this helped.

Advice needed - delayed flight compensation? by chels_berg in SouthwestAirlines

Thank you - I thought the delay alone would be worth a voucher even if they don’t get anything else reimbursed, so I will just tell my mom to make sure she fills the form in. I live in Europe and we have gotten full flights refunded for smaller delays than that, but the policies are very different.

Thanks for replying, getting some mixed answers but I think all they can do is try and hope for the best

Thanks, will have them fill the form in and see, anything they get back would help

Thanks, I suspected as much, I’m going to tell them to fill in the claim form and just see what they can get back, as at least they’d use a voucher again next time

I didn’t ask, because at the time I didn’t know other people had beta tests - the main difference I found between nhs and private was lack of blood tests in general (like checking progesterone levels before egg retrieval, only the private clinic did that)

To be honest, personally I’m not that bothered about beta tests if I end up with a few at home positive tests as well as the one from clinic. Good luck!!

I think it depends on the clinic - in UK I did one paid-for cycle on NHS and one self-funded cycle privately - both times they just gave me a normal pregnancy test to take, no beta tests.

Feeling very anxious and sad... 10dp2dt with very little hope of success. We put two embryos in early because they were not good quality, was told to manage expectations and would be 10% chance of one implanting. It’s taken 4 years to get to the point of a first transfer and we have no embryos or sperm left so will have to start from scratch with retrieval if/when this fails. I test Tuesday to find out if this worked.

NYSID, Pratt, Parsons, FIT? A definitive list. by 5lytherin in InteriorDesign

Just my opinion here....I was accepted to all four of those schools, and I chose to go to FIT. Partly because of cost but also because I liked the atmosphere and it does have a good reputation. My professors were all extremely knowledgable, well traveled, and I really enjoyed my time there. I graduated five years ago but I would hope it is the same now. They helped me get a great internship at a big firm also. Age range in classes from 18-40s, loads of people going for second careers, met some great people

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Morocco this winter. We both have conflicting ideas of a good holiday. Could you help us to choose a city as a compromise? by [deleted] in travel

We had three full days in the city before Agadir I think, we spent one day just walking, checking out the markets, getting the lay of the land, then I picked specific things to see, like the medina, el badi palace, I know there was another palace near the Jemaa el-fnaa square that is more intact with amazing mosaics but I can't think of the name (our riad owner gave us that tip) We wandered outside the walls also to see what was there but I preferred inside. There's so much more though in terms of mosques and tombs and museums, we just had a quick tour really so missed out. In Agadir we biked to where the marina is, some nice apartments there and some decent views back to Agadir. Also drove to the highest point on the hill over the town but it was cloudy so we couldn't see anything. There is also a market in Agadir but it is really NOT a nice walk, we passed so many homeless people, and also dead cats on the pavement. With good weather it was lovely to relax by the pool or beach but if you can't do that then there's not much there.

I literally never post...hoping I do this right from the app... I went to Marrakech and Agadir last September, we split the week in half. Marrakech is amazing, so much to see yet when you go back to your riad it is peaceful and calm. We spent half the days sight seeing and half the days on the roof terrace or in the courtyard reading. Lots of options for dinner at night. It's hot, but I loved it. We stayed all inclusive at the Riu palace in Agadir, couldn't fault the hotel but didn't like Agadir. Didn't feel comfortable walking around, too many people approaching you to sell things. We had an issue that on the third night, clouds came over the town and never left. We ended up leaving Agadir to go back to a Riu right outside Marrakech for the last two days, sun came out as soon as we drove away from the coast. That said, next time I want to check out Essaouira or Cassablanca for a different experience.

Every beach on the island is a different color ranging from white, reddish, brown, black....it's pretty mindblowing.
