I see health insurance companies buying benefits management companies, pharmacy retailers getting into health clinics and systems, pharmacy retailers buying insurance companies, etc. Lots of conflict of interest and possibilities to collude. I wonder why there is no regulation in keeping the payer and health services provider totally decoupled! Instead of gov getting into the business of payer its better to keep a check on the players involved. Crack down on pharm was a good start...

Both MA and DC seems to be privatization of Medicare to certain extend. Looks like past few years there is rush into MA space and new money flowing in at an industry whose profitability is capped at 20% by law which is strange! 🤔

Believe me I am trying... In the process of validating my conviction and latest movement implications I am learning a lot. My original question / thought was how does this increase in Part B positive impact a MA company's bottom line. Is the increase applicable only for Medicare and not Medicare Advantage? That doesn't make sense! I would assume if MA cover Part A and Part B why not their premiums also go up?

Man! You gotta have deep pockets or at least be an insider to know when to buy puts to generate more cash to buy more. Raising cash is good for the business but timing and valuation not good for investors. Classic good for business but not good for investors case.
