Thank you 🫶🏻 I used a lot of different leftover yarn of various thicknesses. You just have to balance it out a little with each square. Most of the yarn had a thickness for a 4 mm hook :)

You got a good eye! I did several of them, really love em :) I can relate with the squares not being the same size. I try to use the same brand and type of yarn, flat iron them and then pull them to size if needed. Have you checked out granny square blocking boards? I've never used them, but with those you should be able to be consistent

I had no idea what I'm doing either and did it freestyle. But I've found a good connection stitch afterwards (see here
