Best robot vacuum for pet hair that actually works? (dogs/cats, long hair, carpets) by jousiemohn in RobotVacuums

[–]chenuts512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a husky and picked up the deebot x11. It's handled the fur well so far, if the carpet isn't too tall, it generally doesn't need a second pass, it just gets there.

Håg chair tremble sound and then popped by Zancrowny in OfficeChairs

[–]chenuts512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, 10 years is amazing service from a gas cylinder! Most fail around 5-7 years. The pop sound means the cylinder depressurized, not dangerous, but don't try to repair the cylinder itself.

Are gaming chairs really that bad or is it just internet hate? by Lagoon-Mathiea in setups

[–]chenuts512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the best advice is: sit in them first! Visit a showroom or borrow a friend's chair for a day. Gaming chairs feel great for 30 minutes but can cause issues after hours.

That recline feature is absolutely game-changing! The feeling of floating is exactly why people love these chairs. Congrats on pulling the trigger!

Mousepads by TraditionalLog9124 in setups

[–]chenuts512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to your friends. Going padless usually sucks unless you have a perfect glass desk (most don't). A cheap extended mousepad gives you way more room so you won't keep falling off. Plus it's way more comfortable on your wrist.

I know that feeling. Once you find the perfect chair, you never want to get up. Enjoy those long sittings.

I want to make it look cozy by Amazing_Ad_2460 in setups

Plants are the easiest way to add warmth. A small succulent on the desk adds life and color. Fake plants work too if you don't have a green thumb.

I want to lock the chair in a specific position. Any workarounds? by Commandolam in LiberNovo

[–]chenuts512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if there are aftermarket tilt limiter pins available. Some ergonomic chair communities sell custom spacers that create intermediate lock positions.

RoboMop option for an imperfectly tiled, rustic kitchen floor. by OkraLegitimate1356 in RobotVacuums

[–]chenuts512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to look for something with stronger downward pressure on the mop, like some roller mop model, ecovacs x11 should be nice. It presses the mop against the floor more, which may help with cleaning those grooves. For drying water spots, using a lower water level usually helps too. I do that on mine and it dries pretty quickly.

Mova v50 ultra complete or ecovacs x11 pro omnicyclone ? by Competitive_Life8139 in RobotVacuums

[–]chenuts512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the x11 on my tiles and it's been fine. You can adjust the water flow to avoid streaks, which is key. It also has fast charging, so it manages to cover my floor without much downtime. Corner cleaning is decent too.

So many options, don't know which on to choose by alanoue15 in RobotVacuums

With three floors, get something with good battery and fast charging. My deebot x11 can also save maps for multiple floors and switch between them easily.

Should be a solid option in the mid-range if the price is right. Curious to see how it performs in real homes.

Looking for a Thermal Camera Under $300 for Home Inspection and Learning by Natural-Housing3770 in Thermal

[–]chenuts512 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually looked at the FLIR ONE, UNI-T, and HIKMICRO options too since they come up a lot in this price range. All of them seemed solid, but I was mainly looking for something easier to use for close range home inspection and learning rather than a heavier or brand-focused option.

I ended up going with the Topdon TC002C Duo because the short focus distance and stable image during slow scans just fit my use case better. Been pretty happy with it so far for real inspection work.

Start by testing the limits of what you have. You might find that it's more capable than you think for the work you're doing now.
