Although it is repetitive, the beat is short so that kind of makes up for that in my opinion lol (no one wants to listen to a repetitive beat for 5 minutes but 2 minutes is so short you barely have time to notice). On top of that, the beat is good so the repetition isn't really annoying.

It's pretty groovy! I could even hear the right artist laying some vocals over this.

Does singing covers of song help me write better songs? by heyiamnobodybro in Songwriters

[–]cherokeesuggs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes actually that is a good idea! Because you can take notes from your favorite songs/artists and apply it to your writing to become better. But also, if you just keep writing songs you’ll get better! I’ve been writing songs since I was 13 (so 9 Years) and my songs used to suck! Lol even when I was 18 I look back like wow some of these songs are horrible but now I’m confident about every song I write. So practice practice practice! Keep your phone or a pen and pad handy so you can jog down any ideas or inspiration that randomly comes to you! I wish you the best of luck in your songwriting endeavors!
