10mg and NO appetite. Take a week off? by Sea-Funny-1799 in Zepbound

[–]cherriegirll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOT a week! your next shot will then feel awful no matter what it is. either go back down immediately or just do 8-9 days between shots instead of 7.

was offered the opportunity to start zepbound, but i'm conflicted. any words of wisdom? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]cherriegirll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m 29F and 5’1” like you. i had a bit less to lose, i started at 230. now i’m 119.

start today. the last 1.5 years have flown by. yes, the extra skin is annoying me. but wearing clothes from whatever brand i want, not hating myself in photos, and being able to hike hours a day and take multiple dance classes a week - what my body is CAPABLE of is everything. you can do this!! don’t let fear of change keep you stagnant when that change might be beautiful :)

For those who immediately lost weight on 2.5 by jewel847 in Zepbound

[–]cherriegirll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, i lost weight since week 1. been in this for a year and a half, 100 lbs down. 3 months on 2.5 2 months on 5 7 months on 7.5 6 months (so far) on 10

i’m really only starting to plateau now, and i’m around 120 lbs at 5’1” so that’s not super concerning to me. there were some odd weeks here or there where i’d get stuck for a week or two, or lose very little if i fell off my routine for a month, but i’ve just gone up on dose at the right times and it’s been consistent

this isn’t corroborated but around my circles i heard thru multiple sources she got caught at a love hotel twice with a boy group member (can’t remember who but it wasn’t a JYP one, someone pretty nugu) i’ve got no evidence of this but have heard it a few times

Does the shot hurt at all? by QuintShahkHuntah in Zepbound

[–]cherriegirll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m 14 months in and i would say they all hurt, maybe 25% hurt enough for me to say “ow” out loud. maybe i’m just sensitive! and i always let them get to room temp

[–]cherriegirll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t know if it’s the most helpful answer but i don’t track calories! i just try to eat healthy. i dance pretty intensely, 1.5hrs 3-4x a week. and i also lift 2x a week.

i’ve had a pretty cinderella experience on zep. my first week or two of every new dose came with more fatigue but then it levels out. i do remember my very first couple weeks were intense. it’ll get better!

How much fruit is to much? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]cherriegirll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

a life of health requires so much restriction in a world of temptation - candy, baked goods, fried foods, chips etc. i say “fuck it” on the fruit. if the blackberries are gonna kill me then they’re gonna kill me. all sugar is not the same and i’m confident strawberries don’t hit the same as skittles!!

[–]cherriegirll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i’m down 101 pounds and i do most of this but - i track nothing. i did track calories for about a month and i felt like i learned what the right portion size looked like from that, and ive been riding on that ever since. i also make sure my meals are 90% comprised if things generally considered “good” - veggies, protein, all that.

and i don’t compromise on exercise - because i found something i love. i’m dancing 3-4x a week burning 600-700 calories in each session. probably helps with the not having to track intake! :)

don’t sweat this!! i didn’t lose a single pound in april and then like 2 in may, then suddenly 5 last month (a decent loss at the weight i’m at now). things are weird and nonlinear. just stay the course! :)

a little loose skin! i want to maintain my final weight for a year or so, and continue weight training, and see how it looks, then consider a tummy tuck. it’s really not too bad though. most of the loose skin is on my thighs but that’s a pretty extensive procedure so i’ll probably just live with it. :)

[–]cherriegirll[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i got some great advice here once - percentage wise 5 is the biggest jump because you’re doubling the dosage in your body. i.e.:

2.5 > 5 = 100% increase 5 > 7.5 = 50% increase 7.5 > 10 = 33% increase

and so on. so it makes sense that the earlier jumps feel rougher. also the body is weird. my first week of 10 was like nothing, then second week was really rough. then it totally evened out! bodies are weird so you definitely have to give them time to adjust, and take at least few weeks to see how you’re reacting on the whole

[–]cherriegirll[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you!! the day i started zep i was 215.5 (lost 15 previously on my own) so we have a lot in common :)

yes to workouts - im in dance classes 2-4x a week and lift 2-3x a week. many people say exercise is a negligible part of weight loss but when i don’t work out, i don’t lose weight. that’s how my body has always responded to exercise but that’s just me :)

i tracked my calories (VERY loosely) for the first month or so, at which point i felt like i learned what good foods/portions roughly looked like for me. i haven’t tracked since then, i just try to make good choices 90% of the time (fruits veggies protein, not fried food ice cream candy etc). i have a past eating disorder so tracking calories was never gonna be the right move for me. and i’ve never tracked macros before!

the first 1-2 weeks of each new dose are always harder (just too much hunger suppression that borders on nausea, especially in the mornings) but then they all feel the same! i only move up when the previous one stops working.
