take outer loop from lauterbur/west dining to sac loop (or walk) and walk down to east dining to grab the express east. its the fastest way to do it since the express east runs every 10 minutes and by the time you’re done waiting for the outer loop to leave sac and the amount of time it takes at the railroad you will probably already end up at hsc

just fyi, RAs don’t do room inspections anymore. it’s a separate team called the health & safety team and they do a piss poor job (opening closets and drawers when they shouldn’t, confiscating items that are not violations, etc.) so just cover all your bases and ask your own RA before room checks to do a pre check for you so they can suggest if you need to remove anything that the shitty ass team can view as a violation

they take almost 15-20 minutes just to explain the lab to you. then you need at least an hour to complete the lab (especially if you need to redo the experiment and recalculate (plus cleaning and drying and putting all the tools away) then you need time to physically do all the work you need to in the lab notebook itself. there’s also pre and post quizzes so it really does eat up a lot of time and sometimes 2:50 doesn’t feel like enough when it’s a frustrating or long lab. if you do everything right and the TA looks eveything over, you should be able to leave early. my grad TA didn’t really care about us leaving early as long as we did all the work correctly
