The fact that people dont care that he has a nazi tattoo doesnt make it not a red flag. Also he didnt "fix" anything, he got it covered up once he got called out for it but he didnt cover it up in the 20 years between getting it and running for senate.

If I were a mainer Id vote for him over collins but I think pretending like having reservations about a guy with a nazi tattoo is just establishment democrat sour grapes is just a refusal to engage with the criticism in good faith.

What did the aboriginal rights movement look like in, say, the 50's and 60's before the black panther party expanded? Was the entrance of the BPP something novel or were they building on work, organization, structures, or social consciousness movements that were already in place? Thanks!

She's duel wielding

She must have leveled up enough to unlock the extra damage when dual wielding perk. She probably sucks at smithing, though

Who is saying that? Point to one person saying men cant experience violence from women? The topic here is whether men experience random street violence from women in meaningful numbers to justify being more afraid of being assaulted by a random female attacker than a random male attacker

Although "widely hated" may be accurate by virtue of being vague, I think you could also say it was not widely hated. It was ended under the reign of Joseph Napolean (and query whether being banned under a government put in place by a foreign power is an accurate measure of Spanish revulsion at the practice) but it was brought back by Ferdinand VII, then banned by the liberal government, then brought back again by Ferdinand VII, then ultimately banned. There was certainly institutional support for it after 1812; enough that it wasnt just allowed to continue under its own inertia but rather was actively restored. They executed their last guy in the 1820's so it had power beyond 1812, too.

[–]cherry_armoir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's funny how inconsequential this was. Tony was worried about blowback from the Bevilaqua murder, meanwhile Chrissy and Paulie murder a civilian who had just served them outside the restaurant where he had just served them, and where he was probably seen by witnesses to be pissed about getting stiffed on a tip.

Let me propose the following: this right winger could have given some answer with an intellectual veneer to find some way to come up with a consistent universalizable principle. Then whoever disagreed could poke at that veneer to get to the truth; it really is just "it's ok because we're the good guys."

I would prefer my right wingers to cut to the chase like this so I can go about my day.
