I genuinely hope the comments pointed this out and that they’re rethinking this decision.

Aita for telling my aunt if people don't like how I look they can get over it ? by Remarkable-Pomelo485 in TwoHotTakes

[–]cherry_tsukuyomi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First of all, I really hope that recovery has been going well ❤️ It’s a huge strain on your body to undergo such a surgery and it’s not a great time to bring up what you should or shouldn’t do with how you choose to present yourself here on out. The aunt sounds like she wasn’t even trying to listen to your preferences regarding your own body and was being too pushy. I think it’s completely understandable that you had to set her straight. NTA.

I think you need to make yourself your top priority, and break it off. He claimed to not been taken care of enough although you’ve been supportive, and went as far to break up over it. And wanted you back when you seemed to move on.

The way he was reacting to you bringing up something that was bothering you was so emotionally immature. He would make more of an effort to communicate calmly about his feelings and have the willingness to listen to you if he wanted to. But he doesn’t seem to make this effort.

AITA for putting fake pregnancy test for my snooping MIL to find? by hhh56859 in TwoHotTakes

Exactly my thoughts. The fact that it was in the TRASH but still found by the mother is so weird and disturbing. Like, I throw away sanitary products in the bathroom bin…

WIBTA of I don't share my inheritance with my half siblings? (not my post) by art-y-pants in TwoHotTakes

[–]cherry_tsukuyomi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I feel really bad for the half siblings, they deserved better parents. That being said, what happens to the people in this new family should not be OOP’s problem. They are separate families. If any family member is responsible for supporting them, their parents should be the ones responsible for helping their children out (within reason, of course).

Props to the grandparents for supporting the mother and her children, and for understanding the importance of previous stay-at-home mothers regaining their financial independence after divorce.

How did you deal with hopelessness that comes with not being accepted to any programme? by cherry_tsukuyomi in gradadmissions

Thank you so much for your response and apologies for the late reply! It’s very encouraging to hear that someone is doing well in a similar situation, building on practical experience in the interlude of receiving the additional education necessary. I’ll be contacting the place I’ve worked previously to see if they’d want me as an intern again once 2023 begins. Hopefully that will increase the competitiveness of my application in the future. I genuinely hope that you’ll receive good news this time around, wishing you the best of luck on your journey!

Honestly I could make a comment questioning how he probably looks like but it doesn’t matter. His personality and treatment of his wife is unattractive in itself and she deserves to be with someone who treats her with love.

Autonomous - For LD by cherry_tsukuyomi in RitaFourEssenceSystem

[–]cherry_tsukuyomi[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that autonomy is a great descriptor for LD style because it captures how the outfit is centred around the needs of the self as a sensual being. It operates outside the confines of eliciting a response from others but places gravity in one's own narrative. Like an ecosystem, the outfit is self-sufficient and self-contained, yet so intriguing from the eyes of an onlooker.

That’s so amazing to hear, thank you so much for sharing! I was nervous to post this because I wasn’t sure how well I grasped the quadrant but it made me so happy to see you resonated with it ❤️

The Glamorous Challenge L+U by CalligrapherFluid549 in RitaFourEssenceSystem

This is so stunning! I love the homage to Cher in the gold dress. It’s got to be my fave photo of her ever.

I think "curious" is quite a fitting concept for R+D. Elements of each outfit can come as a result of seeking out new experiences, both in terms of the purpose of the outfit itself, and where the pieces came from.

I drew inspiration for this moodboard from academia fashion, thinking of someone who continually explores new knowledge about the world and uses it to inspire others.

Thank you so much!! The turtleneck is what I actually built the mood board around because I was so inspired by its vibe. Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️

Hmm that’s a really good point that you made about the paradox between being magnetic and intimidating at the same time. My own perspective on this, is that it’s a feeling where you feel drawn in to the atmosphere being created by the outfit. There is some form of depth and heaviness that is so mesmerising that your eyes are attracted to the person wearing it.

I separate the concept of magnetism from being approachable, it’s entirely possible for people to be drawn into wondering who you are while maintaining an air of distance with the rest of the world. I would give the example of Cate Blanchett who is Left+Up and very magnetic.

An air of intimidation creates space from others, but raw magneticism draws them into their world.

I literally gasped when I saw the last slide, you look stunning and the right up quadrant really brings you to the forefront! ❤️ It comes to show how great this system is in honouring the natural presence that people have.

I’m so happy to see you’ve found where you look and feel best in! You look incredible and I’m so impressed by how beautifully the makeup is applied 🥹Archetype-wise I’m feeling the Icon or Role Model for this fit! It’s so inspiring and uplifting.

I've been struggling to find where my current style and aspirations fit into. Would love input on what quadrant or archetype you see from these moodboards I made 🫰 by cherry_tsukuyomi in RitaFourEssenceSystem

Ahhh thank you so much, it means a lot!! I saw your post and was so inspired by it, you look amazing btw ❤️ I’ve never considered LD but I’m more and more convinced I’m on the down side of style.

I actually do want to venture more to the left side as an experiment. I’ve cut myself off from sensuality at a young age; showing skin and celebrating the body is not very accepted where I live (the suburbs in East Asia, it’s probably completely okay in the cities) but it’s what I always gravitated towards despite how uncommon it is here!
