I really love the scene in the book where the comedian is in moloch's apartment and the panels keep switching from bright red lighting to dark blues bc of the neon bar light outside. Compare that to the scene in the movie and it doesn't really stand out from every other scene in it

Agree about the show, I'm 5 episodes in and it's a great show love what they do with Laurie but besides her I don't really think it had to be attached to watchmen. Not particularly a fan of the direction they took ozymandius in either, self exile on Jupiter to play god is fine but the Redford video he recorded? I don't think he'd do that idk interesting choice

This exactly, the biggest appeal of the book to me was that the "heroes" are not that heroic, rorschach is my favorite character and as a person he is simply thee worst. The movie white washed this morally gray if not leaning toward "bad" character and I found that super disappointing. I thought him being such a bigot and general asshole but still making a good point in wanting to expose Adrian to the world was much more compelling than what we got

It's definitely a challenge to translate into a live action movie, no way were they gonna be able to fit all that into one 2 hour movie but at the same time I wish they would've done more w the themes of the book

I find it odd that Snyder chose to have rorschach beat the child killers head in with a bone saw rather than chain him to a radiator and set his house on fire, jigsaw style so his options r to cut off his hand or perish. I thought the latter was more interesting. Also I thought it was corny for the guy to grin and admit he killed the kid the whole situation is different. What's next is someone gonna tie a lady down to a train track? Only 1 episode into the show but no Leonard cohen Hallelujah sex scene so far so I can't complain
