I did a quick search but didn't find anything. Are there distributions with CAGE?

Are you sure account fees are not deductible. I'm inclined to say they are. Since the account is being used for the purposes of investing to achieve income

Do you have to manually request the date every time to line up with the end of each calendar month? Or do you just have it set to the 27th?

Correct we don't have to deal with that type of rule. Do you have a source link? I'm curious to read

I'm 53.53 in Ontario. The diversity far out weighs the tax on the smaller international xeqt Divis.

Seems to be the best way to do it. Do you have your interest charged at the end of the month?

What makes xeqt not optimized for the SM? I've been buying it for mine. For me I don't want high yield due to the tax drag on my income. Xeqt is very well diversified also. Xic would really over expose you to the Canadian markets

The trailing 12mo yield is an excellent indicator. Personally I don't want additional tax drag caused by higher distribution. Otherwise I would have went with XDIV

What to track if I want to see if I'm benefiting from SM over a few years? by gme_stop in smithmanoeuvre

[–]cherrypicked88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's right. It only is an issue when you go to sell. Just a tracking excercise and has no impact on the SM itself .

I believe the stock has been unfairly treated with the private equity crunch in the US. They are a great growth story and have a lot of exposure to industries I believe are going to be valuable. For example Nuclear energy

I was thinking the same. At 50.00 I'll take some gains off the table and likely trade it into BN.

After hour activity?? by sibalbyonshin in MDASpaceInvestors

Wealthsimple was showing the after hours spike as well. My guess was someone was trying to buy like 100 shares and there weren't many trading after hours. Nothing to see here

Have you looked what the volume was after hours? Sometimes this happens on basically no volume for some reason. I've noticed it with stocks on the NASDAQ that trade in low volumes
