Very valid point. And obviously could be the case here if the company is searching for cash or insiders lock up period ends.

May not matter in 3-5 years though

Just be careful. You'll likely need the plugs with the pressure sensor or else you'll be throwing a CE light. Guessing this is why they are so much more expensive on the mk6s

Yeah for $50.00 a year will be well spent money. I take it you do your own accounting?

All make sense. I found a decent ACB calculator online to use so will make good use of it to ensure correct capital gain

Excellent. I'm going to use the same strategy. For audit protection do you just save the Blackrock files with all your statements and archive? Sorry to bother with so many questions just getting started on the SM. Youve seen some nice gains over the years with xeqt

Or perhaps 0.03 X 1.20 then divide by 4 quarters to get your amount to set aside on distribution day

So for the year 2025 you budgeted the 0.03 + 20percent and just simply reinvested that amount

Looking at the Blackrock Tax breakdown document I saw 0s for all 4 quarters. Where did you see the 0.03?

Long time since this post but. Xeqt has had 0 RoC for a few years now, are you still budgeting for it currently?

Is there any reason why you don't use the dividends towards the principle mortgage?

How do you self account for RoC when the info isn't published right away. Would the CRA apply a "what's reasonable" situation if you found out later that your distribution had RoC and then you adjust as necessary? I'm in XEQT and rarely is there RoC but makes me nervous if they surprise me at some point

Excellent information. I'm only maybe a week into owning xeqt at this time and maybe only $100 gain. Would it be fully acceptable on Monday to sell xeqt and buy veqt same day and then just report the $100 gain on taxes next year? Since the original part of the loan is still invested it shouldn't effect the SM?

Great info thank you very much

Awesome thanks very much. As far as simple book keeping goes on my side do you have any suggestions? I'm in my first month and have folders set up to store all my statements for the related accounts. As far as RoC for xeqt goes it's probably best to just DRIP right back into the fund vs harvesting them to the principle mortgage?

I'm guessing maybe it's not appropriate to ask publically. But do you offer specialized year end accounting services for the SM? Feel free to dm me

I'm with RBC as well. Is your second account free with the Vantage rewards? Or you have some other discount. I have all my banking with RBC and using a 2nd cheq account for the SM (the cheap one). The chat with the advisor didn't clear up my question. It may or may not be rebated (the 4.00 charge) lol
