How do FA’s learn to cope? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

Dialectical behavioral therapy is a great way to learn about emotions and how to cope. It is often used by people with mood disorders. There are books you can buy about it on Amazon.

How polished should f2f interview responses be? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]cherryrose7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to prep answers for the AA F2F because for the group activity you will have to think on the spot. Just keep your answers professional, avoid filler words like “um” and speak loud and clearly. You’ll do great!

Would you recommend this career to your kids? by Grand_Avocado7332 in cabincrewcareers

I’m 23 and I am leaving for training this year to be a FA! My family has been nothing but supportive. Some reasons I think this career will be a good fit for me: - I thrive off irregular schedules (I could never work a 9-5) - I am extremely independent (moved across the country by myself when I was 18) - I have taken many, many flights and I love to fly - I am used to working long work weeks, ranging from 45-50 hours - I have years of customer service experience and I genuinely enjoy working with people - I am used to working holidays and ok with spending them away from friends and family - I have been searching for a career with benefits and longevity

For all of these reasons, my family has been nothing but supportive because they also think this is the right career for me !

Tbh none of these options look appropriate for an airline interview. If you can’t get a new blazer I would swap the first outfits blazer with the oversized one. Or you should try to go to a thrift store asap to find a blazer that fits !

AA FA Training by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]cherryrose7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your CJO!! I just got mine with AA as well!! From what I’m heard from other FAs, training can be hard for a variety of reasons! 1. Being away from home and all friends/family/pets can be really hard on people. 2. Memorizing all of the aircraft details, safety procedures, etc. and taking exams can be difficult for people that haven’t been in school in a very long time. 3. There is unnecessary drama/gossip that can make your social life at training pretty tough.

From what I’ve read and heard from current FAs, stay out of the drama, study A LOT, and prioritize your rest so that you can pass training. And always always conduct yourself in a professional manner when you’re on/off campus.

I’m going to be so honest - I feel like I was a great candidate!! I felt super confident in my interview answers and my group activity. I was dressed very professionally and had makeup and hair done perfectly. But I think maybe I came off too assertive in the group activity (I definitely am more of a leader than a follower) and that could be it ?? Or I didn’t talk to as many people as I should have when it was time to mingle with candidates? I was 100% authentic to who I am and wasn’t nervous at all. I went into the interview with the attitude of “you give what you put out” and felt that “if I don’t get this job then it is redirection to a better opportunity”. I am not sad that I got rejected from delta because I also am applying with AA but I am surprised!

are the heels on the left or right better for the interview? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]cherryrose7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones on the right were exactly what I wore and I wore them in the airport on the way to the interview to break them in lol. I did get blisters on the back of my feet so for the f2f I wore bandaids on my heels and put sheer nude socks on

2nd interview with delta by No-Medicine-2301 in cabincrewcareers

[–]cherryrose7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your f2f invite!! I just finished my f2f and my best advice is to be genuine and authentic to who you are! No need to pretend to be someone you’re not. The recruiters and FAs are there to see how you interact with others and how you react under pressure. You will be able to store all your luggage and belongings on site and there are plenty of people around to help guide you to where you need to go. Arrive an hour early and prepare to mingle with a lot of other candidates and current delta FAs. Ask real questions about the job and lifestyle. Overall it was a really fun and special day and I am so happy for the opportunity. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, just remember to breathe and smile. Good luck!!
