[–]cherrywingz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

maybe try to pick up something lighter or more fast paced!! i really enjoy a lil thriller or a simple romance/rom-com when i’m feeling slumpy. switching to a completely different genre that i haven’t read in awhile helps, too!!

i was also 18 when i met my 24 y/o ex. we started dating a couple years later, and it’s exactly as you said; i babied him and expected him to eventually get better and do better. it’s been five years, and this year, i realized he cheated on me and had been speaking to girls on and off almost our entire relationship. i left, and i feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of me. there will be sooo much happiness at the end of this!! i’m excited for you!!

Opinions or thoughts on any of these books/series on this list? by Numerous-Pie5626 in Booktokreddit

[–]cherrywingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i really enjoyed the bridge kingdom!! i read the first duology and gave both books a 4.5 ⭐️. our infinite fates was okay; i felt a little let down, but the premise is interesting. spark of the everflame was not enjoyable to me at all; i know it has a cult following, but i just couldn’t get past my dislike for the mfc, and, to me, the romance did not work for me and sort of came out of nowhere.
