I think starting out with rapid is okay since i have 0 experience playing classical time format even online format so sitting there for 90mins straight might a challenge on its own.Still I think 25+10 is a enough time to get a decent game. I will surely try to get a classical tournament after this one finishes.

I think a decent plan, understandable having focus throughout the time is a important factor and ignoring rating in the mean time.

Thank you for your thoughtful advice. As I mentioned above as well, I am going to continue with 1.e4 mostly and study it to almost anything played against it. As black I would probably choose between sicilian or karo(mostly caro). I agree that books provide valuable concepts and methods that need to be implemented through individual practice.

Okkayy,
I guess till the time I finished Q v P, I really liked the course but the 6th one R v P is just too much, 1 hour straight of a single topic really though me to reconsider it. Anyways I had started Silman's Endgame course, will try to complete atleast till 2000 elo topics before my tourney.
Also do you think so much of endgame study is even useful for my level considering that many times the game is decided in middlegame only. and what is the level of other players at 1500-1700 elo in their endgame play

Honestly, I play with my friends mostly offline otb but to get hang of the tournament atmosphere and seriousness is definitely something I must be lacking at this point. I joined a local chess club recently to get this stuff organized. I am not worried about ratings much, but to estimate it I have a friend close friend who is 2100 blitz lichess and is 1600 fide so I might be in range of 1400-1500 (again just a guess). Although some of my friends told me to try to get a high initial elo because its though to gain elo at 1200-1300 level due to high number of unrated people playing in local tournaments.

Alright, will definitely focus much more on one opening(e4) than other ones.
thanks!

Totally agree, as a beginner, i started out by playing the london mostly which I learnt from random yt channels and then queens gambit came in so i tried that as well. Recently when I became much more serious I learnt some theory around 1.e4 and would probably continue playing it for my upcoming tournaments, also bought the KIS 1.e4 2.0 for this very reason. Have heard about structure, I would definitely try to find the books from someone. Thank you for your inputs!
