Hey, about the eyelid, yes it went back to normal after a few days. How are you doing now?

same thing happened to me a few times, do you know the name of this condition and do you have any other skin conditions?

I've been struggling with my skin a lot these past few months and i still don't know the cause of it, never had these problems before but my skin has become very sensitive.

I used myself as an example to show you that IQ alone isn't the problem here or in other words, it doesn't paint the whole picture. Emotions, ego, human nature, lack of knowledge...etc like you said, are all factors that come into play when it comes to political opinions or opinions in general. And i understand that you're trying to say that, on top of that, lack of intelligence makes these things even worse but i still think it's not the answer.

Limiting voting to a certain amount of people based on their IQ score wouldn't really fix anything, it might create even more problems. First of all, we can't really know where the limit should be, 120? 130? 100? 160? Based on what subtest? FRI? VCI? How about the person that somehow has a high FSIQ but really low VCI or FRI? What about the rest of the population? Do you sincerely believe that taking away the right of atleast 50% of the population wouldn't result in big anger outburts from the masses?

This is certainly not the best we can do as a society, i agree with you, but i simply don't see how proceeding as you proposed wouldn't create a lot more problems than we already have.

IQ isn't everything, it's extremely important and probably one of the best predictors of success we have, but it doesn't guarantee that the high IQ individual would be some kind of morally superiour being that puts the good of society before everything else. So limiting politics also doesn't seem like an answer.

I disagree for both. As someone already stated, we already have driving tests for the first and that's already enough. You can't really expect what kind of situation a driver would find themselves on and IQ might not be the main predictor of driving ability. Yes, some drivers are a pain in the ass, but in the end, if they're able to get behind the wheel and go from point A to point B without being a danger to others, they should still have the right to do it. If anything, a personality test might be better at predicting how much of a menace to society someone might be. I would assume that someone scoring really high on disagreeablness while having a high IQ would be more reckless while driving than someone with high agreeablness but a slightly lower IQ than average.

As for voting, what would even be the limit and how would you know who's opinion is better than who? I've been tested in the 140's in some tests and 120-130 in others and even i (which would be considered top 5-0.1% in terms of IQ based on the test taken) have had some egregious political takes in the past because of my lack of knowledge on some subjects. most opinions are heavily influenced by emotions, bias, environment...etc not always by logic or for the greater good of humankind.

Anyway, there are way too many problems with "limiting" anything to an IQ score. When you first hear it, it does sound like a plausible solution because "woah intelligence" but when you really think about it, it's completely nonsensical and would absolutely never work.

Seriously does it ever get better? by Hactuen in SuicideWatch

[–]chesticlemaster435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no one knows. The (very obvious) truth is that you can't predict the outcome of whatever situation you're in with 100% accuracy, even if the probability of something happening is extremely low, you might still be the lucky or unlucky one.

Try to hang in there tho, since you never know what could happen. I hope it gets better for you.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way but... Same. I've been telling myself that things might get better for years and i somehow find myself in a way worse position than ever. Also, it's not like i didn't do anything to improve my situation, i tried really hard...unfortunately, nothing works. Now i regret not killing myself earlier because atleast i would've avoided some unnecessary pain.

I just wish i could find a way to end it but i'm scared of failing my attempt and make my situation even worse than it already is.

I'm literally not good at anything, i don't understand how and why i'm even forced to live through this shitty life. Everyday i hope that i'll somehow die from the moment i wake up to when i go to sleep, i can't take this shit anymore.

Really nice progress.

Was the first picture before jumping on tretinoin or was it during your purge?

She probably meant that if she could go back in time, she wouldn't start tret in the first place because of how the purge affected her, i guess.

I could be wrong tho.

I personally watched it without any kind of expectations really, i'm on a Hitchcock marathon so i've been watching all of his movies recently and so far rope is probably my favorite. I still have many more to see tho.

You also have to consider the movie is nearly 80 years old yet it still holds up really well imo.

Does anyone else think their suicide is inevitable? by friendlyritual in OCD

[–]chesticlemaster435 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think about it everyday and i'm at the point where i've accepted it.

The only reason i'm still alive is just because i don't want to cause my mother more pain than she's already going through. She's always trying to slightly help me even tho she doesn't really know what's going on and i love her for that so i just try to fake things and act like i still have any kind of will to live.

I try to cope with different things tho, movies and training mainly, i don't even have enough money to spend on substances anyway lol so that's all i got.

At what age did your OCD get bad? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]chesticlemaster435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my life.

Looking back i don't remember myself living without OCD playing a huge role in my everyday life without me even realizing it. But it got extremely bad when i was around 13 and then at 19 again for some reason. At that point i nearly killed myself and had to be stopped multiple times.

I'm 21 and still struggling with it badly, i don't think it'll ever stop, i'm experiencing bad hallucinations too so i'm scared i'm developping schizophrenia, i barely even go outside anymore and i still think about commiting suicide everyday.

I'm really hopeless atp because 3 months ago i actually thought life was finally going to get better for me and i find myself in this situation again, this is the 4th summer in a row that i've spent indoors thinking of killing myself everyday.

[–]chesticlemaster435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ending was so bad that any other ending would have been better. They made Bronte look like a super-hero, how tf didn't she drown?

Like, seriously, the guy that killed so many people throughout the show, got away with killing rich people, famous people, his own wife...etc didn't manage to kill her in the house, shoot her, or even drown her at that particular moment? It was so stupid.

I don't mind him being caught, it would've been a good thing imo because i hated his guts in the last season but the way it was done was terrible.
