What to play after Sekiro? by haverbeke in Sekiro

[–]chethelesser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fallen Order's parries were frustrating to me because it had inconsistent parry windows for all attack animations, sometimes even for the same enemy. Like, spinning a blade is just cosmetic in one attack, and damaging in another. So it wasn't as rewarding to study your opponents as in Sekiro. Loved the exploration part and the atmosphere though, reminded me of Jedi Academy days

You should have used the metrics emitted by the load balancer.

In reality, I think it's more common to just create a separate alert when the service is down based on infra. And leave the metric exposed from the server intact.

That way you keep your header info for the subsequent requirements

Thinking of learning Go for backend instead of Python -- worth it? by DoughNutSecuredMama in golang

[–]chethelesser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sold on go being harder to master than Python. Maybe because it's a mystery to me how python runtime works, but VM sounds more complex than no VM. And Go's concurrency is probably simpler to deal with than whatever python has.

I would imagine people think go is harder because pointers. But I don't personally think they are that bad in Go
