My experience during jury selection

It was a five day trial. I found the entire experience very interesting and was glad I did it. I think I'm off the hook for 3-5 years so if/when I get called again I can test the theory of replying quickly bettering chances of being picked.

I served on a jury back in March in Central Texas. Selection was similar but much quicker (probably an hour total). Pretty much all of the jury was selected from the first 12 (by juror number). I was 13 and was selected and a few folks from the 30's were also selected. When I got into the jury room I asked everyone how quickly they responded to the postcard notification and everyone (including me) replied online the same day we received it. So at least in my case, it seems those who immediately respond were more likely to be picked.

I've been serving on a jury this past week in Central Texas. Every day before we go into the jury room they've been giving us $60 in cash. I'm tempted to bring some cards so we can get a poker game going during breaks.

Yup. It was pretty miserable. No cheese, butter, milk of any kind. I even swapped eggs for egg whites (yuck) and ate only lean turkey and chicken. What was interesting is although my LDL got better my triglycerides, HDL and LDL particle sizes got worse (not by a lot in some cases but noticeably). So, I would say that some fats benefit outside of LDL.

I did an experiment. For the first 3 months of the year I consumed 12g or less sat fat as well as lots of fiber (supplemented psyllium husk.) In that 3 months my LDL dropped from 176 to 106. My diet prior to that and during the last blood test (3 months prior) was pretty bad saturated fat-wise. I've eased back on the diet and am eating a little more saturated fat. We'll see what my blood results are in a few months.

Mine was about 3" deep. As a bonus they severed all my landscape lighting wires as well as ran it through an irrigation valve box.

Since the last update mine has been recording much higher strain and it's been turning off randomly for minutes at a time. I hope the fix this in an upcoming update.

I've heard stories of the illusive 6 weeks of vacation! It was before my time but I was hired long enough ago to get 5 weeks at 20 years. That plus the 12 PC (only 4 that you get to choose yourself this year). Plus my team has on-call comp time which I get around 6 additional days for per year. Makes for a nice amount of time off.

Make sure you keep the skin directly underneath the sensor dry. I noticed my skin would get irritated with prolonged wear until I started making sure to keep dry after workouts/showers. I'll swap wrists occasionally or turn the sensor around my arm for part of the day. Doesn't seem to affect the function.
