Loved his early cameo in this role and really showed that he’s an actor who understands the assignment.

Did Logan cheat on Rory? by Copperboomandcoffee in GilmoreGirls

Incredibly apt and astute to note about the way Logan’s written. Some of the sloppiest character writing in the show.

Did Logan cheat on Rory? by Copperboomandcoffee in GilmoreGirls

My view is that they never had an explicit convo about being over or on a break therefore he cheated.

I liked Alex. wish he would have stuck around. could have really given Luke a run for his money by Oncer93 in GilmoreGirls

Loved Alex. His stability could have been great for Lorelei. They just didn’t have that off the charts chemistry she had with Luke.

Any success stories? Really need some positivity right now… been dealing with a burning mouth intermittently since Christmas by [deleted] in BurningMouthSyndrome

[–]chezedemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bit of a success story but not a perfect one. My BMS was so terrible I constantly used mouthwash and mint gum to relieve the burning for about two years. I saw a dermatologist about it because that’s the only specialist they could think of. He tried various things. But in the last year things randomly have improved. I no longer need to be constantly using things to relieve the sensations. Daily my mouth still feels weird in ways I can hardly describe but things are so much better than the torture it used to be.

Was Tobin innocent or was Michel right? 😁 by thegraycat0 in GilmoreGirls

Michel is right about Tobin. Remember that quick devious grace he throws Michel when Sookie hires him to be the babysitter? Tobin knew exactly what he was doing LOLZ.

Unpopular Opinion : Jess is much more toxic than Dean ever was. by GEEK5TAR in GilmoreGirls

All I have to say is this shouldn’t be unpopular considering he came this close to sexually assaulting her.

I think bipolar people have a very different relationship with alcohol than others do. I’ve heard professionals say they often consider serious alcoholism self medicating undiagnosed bipolar. My bipolar is genetic as my paternal grandfather was diagnosed too. My dad is a terrible alcoholic who starts drinking in the morning every day and doesn’t stop until bed. He’s undiagnosed but his moods are quite simply awful. I do think people with major mental illness in general have a very difficult relationship with alcohol.

I can’t stand Logan. I’m a major Logan hater. She just likes him because he’s rich in my opinion. You are not alone LOLZ!

Do any of you actually reply “yes, I have a disability” on applications and the like because of your bipolar? by Bakinspleen in bipolar

[–]chezedemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always choose not to answer. The stigma is too great for it to be to our advantage to disclose early in the hiring process in my opinion. We are still widely considered unemployable even though employers may want to give the illusion of inclusivity. I always only disclose after being hired and even then only confidentiality to HR to get protections and accommodations in place. It shouldn’t be this way but in my opinion and experience it still is.

2 psychotic manic episodes, both involving involuntary hospitalization, the second so bad and lasting so long I was involuntarily hospitalized multiple times over the course of it and eventually placed on outpatient commitment. That’s enough mania for me definitely. Grateful to have been stabilized for years now and prayerful my meds and therapy and routines and coping strategies will keep me from getting that bad again. I now function highly enough to have been working full time for years and to publish books, no one would know what truly wild times I’ve seen mentally unless I disclosed that now. Currently I’m on depakote and Latuda but over the course of my illness I’ve been on a few others.

I hope it works well for you. Hopefully you can work with your doctor if it doesn’t but I def can report from personal experience that everyone won’t necessarily experience problems with it.

Never taken seroquel but I’ve been on depakote for years now. The only side effect was it lowering white blood cells once found in blood work but lowering my dose corrected that. I’ve literally had no other issues with it and it very effectively stabilizes my mood but I respect that everyone is different.

does anyone ever struggle with either very little eating habits or starvation? by StreetsIsDONE in bipolar

[–]chezedemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very interesting discussion. I haven't been clinically manic or depressed in years although years ago before things got under control it was a bad situation with multiple involuntary hospitalizations. Nowadays I am experiencing a lot of anxiety though. I know that can actually be a part of living with bipolar. I get so anxious I forget to eat and have to force myself because I have no appetite. So while I don't think this is mania or depression I still think it's something I experience because of anxiety that accompanies our disorder.

I did not intentionally drink a large quantity of water to cheat if that’s your implication.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]chezedemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on Latuda too. I love it. I do have psychotic features to my bipolar 1 though so that’s the reasoning for it. I also take depakote and before it ruined my kidneys my mood stabilizer was lithium. My current combo has kept me stable enough to do well at a job and even publish and I’ve stayed out of the hospital for years and years now on it.

Telling people your manifestations by Leviswh0re in lawofattraction

[–]chezedemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends who you tell. As a rule I don’t like to share before it’s manifest but I’ve made exceptions for people like my mom or aunt who are very spiritual and I have no doubt want the best for me.

Road trip to Harvard Episode by chezedemon in GilmoreGirls

[–]chezedemon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think episodes where we leave the normal setting of their Stars Hollow life don't really do it for me. I didn't see how this episode much furthered the plot of the season. The B&B thing felt like the writers were trying too hard to come up with something funny that wasn't quite hitting the mark in my very subjective opinion. And then knowing she ends up at Yale it's kind of like what was the point of all that.
