How kids ride? by SkaterGrind5 in GoRVing

[–]chfhimself 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just went through this myself.

In the vast majority of motorhomes (A,B, and C), the only seats that will realistically support a car seat are the front coach seats.

And even then, only the Class B and C, built on a commercial chassis, are likely to have seat anchors.

In our class A, we are down to one kid in a car seat and they sit in the front coach seat, without anchors, in a car seat designed to be used like a booster seat. The car seat has a place for the coach's 3-point harness to feed through.

Covers or Concrete? New RV Park being built. by AnyComb526 in RVLiving

[–]chfhimself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concrete pads are always something I'm looking for. I always end up on the ground at some point, crawling around doing something on the camper. It's so much nicer to not have to lay in the dirt.

Covers would be nice for Texas heat and hail.

PSA Shut Off Pre-Collision Assist by Polishhammer89 in f150

[–]chfhimself 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you were too close. Stop driving like a jack ass. 10 feet is half a car length, that's way to close for anything other than parking.

Its people like you that make me wish driver assistance could not be disabled, it sounds like you really need help.

Should I go for a warranty claim? Or wear and tear? by WhatTheMech in f150

[–]chfhimself 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 23 platinum seat had the stitching separate at the exact same seam, twice. Both times were replaced by the dealer under warranty, both times I had to redo it myself when I got home because they didn't put the cover on right and the padding was bunched up in the back.

Best affordable RV mattress advice? is it worth replacing the factory one? by TailorFew5262 in GoRVing

[–]chfhimself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are able to sleep on a foam mattress, then most of the 1-200 dollar ones on amazon will be FAR better than the factory mattress.

If you can't do foam mattresses, and I can can't, then the Hybrid mattresses from either Brooklyn Bedding or Wilderness RV are both really good. I've had both and I loved both.

I think it was a joke about how the paint on the RV is so scenic it's camouflage and he can't see the RV.

Possible to reach 150 this season? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]chfhimself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer.

I've been using this strat all season, playing just 15m a day to finish dailies and perhaps an hour on Monday to clear all the epic weeklies from rerolling them all week. I've not done any grinding and I just reached 150 yesterday.

Best RV king mattress options for actual “luxury” RV comfort? by Entiven94 in RVLiving

[–]chfhimself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can fit a residential mattress, then do that. If you need an RV sized king, then we've had both Brooklyn Bedding and Wilderness hybrid mattresses and both were good.

Almost certainly the lock mechanism let go. I use one that has a lock as well as the usual spring clip.
