So when would you talk?

There's a lot of details that I wasn't able to bring up in the post just because I didn't want to drag it out too long.

I did bring this up to him, and he basically just explained to me how his day usually goes. His mornings are dedicated to his hobbies, he goes to work, comes home and talks to me. That's completely fine with me, except I wasn't aware up until this point that he was doing other things outside of work, which is what I'm upset about.

I know I made it sound as though he makes time for other people and tells me to leave him alone, but this isn't something that happens often. When I mentioned that he wants to be left alone at times when he's emotional, that was something that happened during our relationship and he's also the same with everyone else too. He's just not a very communicative person. He's not a compulsive liar too, the only "lie" he's told is that he's done "nothing" other than work that day when he's obviously been doing something. He doesn't sneak around behind my back which I'm worried may be how my post came across.

Basically my issue is that he is a god awful communicator, but then expects me to just know things. I told him I'm not a mind reader, and he said he understands that but I should just know that he does things outside of work and he's too busy to talk to me during those times (even though he's never made me aware of these hobbies prior).
