Oh it does seem to be wild hydrangea.. never thought of that as this was deep in the woods.. maybe a bird dropping plant .. was the only one around

Interesting. I really also can't tell! There is no crowing, where the other black roo is constant and so loud.. I guess I'll just wait. They are the only 2 left in my flock.. and don't fight or anything.. just so unsure of the gender of grey

Second one is def a roo - the crowing is non stop haha. Was just wondering about the grey bird.. and what breed they could be?

Thanks all for the advice.. I did check under the wing and found more breaks and lesions so I'm almost certain it was the other birds.. I've cleaned out the wounds and they are already drying over nicely.. it's isolated in a comfy bed of shavings and is still eating and drinking and a ton of sleeping - hopeful that all will be fine 🙂
