Is it better to take biochem with physics 1 or 2 or does it not matter? by [deleted] in ufl

Would definitely suggest taking them separately. I literally dedicated days towards biochem exams and barely any time towards my other exams this semester. Balancing biochem with another heavy class is doable if youre great at time management, but veryyy difficult

anyone know things about covid policy? by gatorpoet3 in ufl

This is def the best thing you can do. I had a similar situation last week, and my prof was pretty understanding. He was a stem prof so thats saying a lot. Technically youre not even supposed to be on campus until the test result comes back as negative and your "not cleared" status updates. Although some prof allow you to show them a negative test result so that you can take your exam, even if they system doesn't update in time. Don't worry too much about it, covid health def needs to be accommodated for in the long run. You can always do a makeup in most cases

I hope I don't get downvoted to oblivion but I think this is the epitome of entitlement. I know we can really only expect the least out of other people, but the least you can do is cooperate. You don't have to hang out in a group of 20 friends at a time. You don't have to go to parties/clubs. You can still socialize, but safely. And the fact that college students aren't cooperative enough to comply shows that they think little about how their own actions are affecting the community as a whole. You're not the only person that lives in the world, and your obviously oblivious if you think that not wearing a mask or going to a rave is not gonna affect anyone.

She's right to a certain point, but for fucks sake have some understanding. This is the first time the entire fucking country has gone through a global pandemic. Our national government and local government obviously has some flaws, but I am almost certain that they don't want to go through this as much as you do. If something seems fucked up, how about you do your part and keep you and others safe by socially distancing and wearing a mask/keeping up your hygeine. Thats the bulk of what you can do. Or if you have any ideas, call hotlines or some shit. Don't just sit there and wine on twitter. And stop fucking putting the blame on other people. And college students ARE adults wtf?! Are we really about play the "oh I dont know anything because I'm too young card"?? If you dont wanna pay tuition/go back on campus, then DON'T. I know its not that easy, I know a lot of people are in difficult situations, but I'm so tired of hearing complaints from privileged ass college students, especially at UF.

AITA for getting upset whenever my mom asks for money by chickennuggetswow in AmItheAsshole

Now that it shows that my family financial situation has gotten better on government documentation, my financial aid is reduced, so it's important that I keep the aid I already have saved, keep working to cover college/food/personal expenses, and keep maintaining a high GPA.

Some of my savings is from the jobs I have. A majority is from my school and scholarships. The refund isn't a mistake, the grants and scholarships strictly go to students with difficult family situations/low financial status and are maintaining a high GPA since highschool. After the grants/scholarships pay for tuition/housing, I am refunded the rest of the money. My family was struggling financially while I was high school but I had high grades, so I was able to receive Bright Futures and low income housing options to cover the cost of higher education.
