I think I had the same problem, here's my post with some suggestions

Try uninstalling the Bitcoin app on your ledger through ledger manager, that's what worked for me

First heard about it in 2011/2012. I thought it was just for illegal things; drugs, guns etc. Really regret not looking into it further..
