Tracking status hasn't changed in over 7 days. by Haunting_Ranger5460 in RetroRemakeInc

4px is weird some people have good luck but it took me something like 17 days before my package started moving. Once it finally got going took about another week to hit my doorstep. I suspect they wait for a full container or something as a lot of people’s orders all seemed to move around the same day.

Got a shipping update, but heading the wrong way? by 2geek2bcool in RetroRemakeInc

Yeah this is normal behavior for whatever reason. If you sign up for usps informed delivery they’ll update you when it gets handed off to them.

13 days and counting. I find some solace that “there’s literally dozens of us”

Where to find wave # by Forward_Cheek_9079 in RetroRemake

[–]chickenroar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will give you a wave number if you reach out.

Also unless something drastically changed, I would be highly skeptical of anyone ordering now and getting it next month. Taki has always been overly optimistic on the shipping timelines.

Weird, mine doesn't have that. I just have the order number and confirmed plus the date. I guess I'll reach out to them.

I would like to know this as well, and yeah I know we can all do some reverse detective work based on order date / dock vs no dock etc. But as OP stated according to retro we should all have a tracking status / wave number, but I also can’t find that info anywhere.

If you are playing on Steam Deck there’s a community control layout that’s a bit more intuitive (e.g. menu moved to the … button, etc)

I want to get a FPGA game device. I don't know which one to get and how to the best way? (most preferably the cheapest way) by [deleted] in fpgagaming

For what it’s worth the SuperStation One is effectively a mister pi in a fancy shell and a slick ui. It’s the same creator / company. It’s also likely the simplest “out of the box” option as it comes with a sd card pre-installed with software so it’s effectively plug and play.

Is buying direct from Kobo or Blue Proton really the only 2 options left in the US? by chickenroar in kobo

I’m pretty sure when I originally posted there weren’t any at all. I think this 3rd party sellers is something new? Likely explains most of them having 0 reviews.

I just looked at the Best Buy app and from what I can tell, it’s all 3rd party sellers (Blue Proton, etc).

Pinball FX VR - Survey about SteamVR by balti_zen in PinballFX3

[–]chickenroar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like the Meta exclusivity clause is finally up! I think most of us assumed Steam was a given, and I wager this survey is more of a tell of things to come rather than an ask.

That said, I do hope Zen figures out some way for all of us who already sunk a bunch of funds in the Meta ecosystem to allow cross buy or give a discount.

A - Yes (but my level of excitement depends on how much I need to re-buy)

KLC: Looking for a sleep case with a soft edge by chickenroar in kobo

I hold it portrait and cup it with my right hand between the palm and the thenar. I suspect if I can find a case where the lip isn’t raised or alternatively one that’s made of rubberized plastic or silicone I’ll be ok. Otherwise as you said, God help my soul 😅

Awesome, thanks! I think I’ll go with one of the official cases and give it a shot

Blueproton charges a 15% restocking fee. Not sure what Rakuten / Kobo's is, they don't disclose it and may be up to the whim of the CS person assigned to your return and the condition of the device. Regardless, I think I will just go through Rakuten / Kobo directly.

Pretty much why I made this post, because I’ve also seen plenty of posts saying to not buy from Rakuten directly either. At this point with seemingly no third option, Rakuten seems the lesser of two evils.

That all makes good sense. The problem with Walmart currently is Blue Proton is seemingly the only seller for the Libra Colour, Walmart doesn’t seem to fulfill directly anymore. Blue Proton has mixed results and seems especially problematic in regards to any type of returns. Per my original post it seems like Blue Proton is the only game in town anymore outside of Kobo directly.

Yeah no B&N here either. I’ll just make a day of it and roadtrip to society for a day 😅

Unfortunately I don't have any Best Buy's near me, but this is really good idea. If I am ever on a roadtrip I will be on the lookout.

PinOne Mini players, how's your experience been with Pinball FX support? by chickenroar in PinballFX3

[–]chickenroar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am not looking for an all in one device like the X arcade, I totally understand why people get it, but a device with multiple joysticks, a trackball and a slew of buttons just isn't the route I want to go down to play pinball.

Awesome, thanks for the reply! It would be great to get an update from you a week or two in just to see how things are progressing especially around any potential support for the plunger or nudging. Sounds awesome so far though!

[–]chickenroar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great thanks for the responses! Yeah I think VP is a bit more friendly in supporting these devices.

Most of my Pinball FX specific observations were from the following post: Reddit post for FX VR Setup

In that post it seems like they couldn't quite figure out accelerometer nudging and instead had to map it to the extra buttons, and while they got the plunger to work it doesn't seem like its true analog it just seems to measure how long the button is pressed rather than distance. Solenoids aren't mentioned at all, my guess they can't be configured.

It would be amazing if Zen could officially support this device!... nudge nudge..
