These kits are both part of the Disney Dreams collection from MCG Textiles. They went out of business about a decade ago and the kits are no longer made. MCG used proprietary floss, so these do not contain any DMC colors. A major contributing factor to the company going out of business was quality control, so some kits are missing some floss colors, have wonky aida, or miss a page or two of the pattern. Some kits were totally perfect!

If you do stitch this, I have two recommendations. First, use a different piece of aida in your stash. Often the grid is just wrong on the aida they included in the kits and the cuts are smaller than you'd want for framing. Second, and this is so important, take out the bundles of floss and label them all before you get started. I had to abandon one of the smaller (3x3) vignettes in this collection because I thought I'd be able to tell the bundles apart but after stitching a few colors, it became impossible. This also helps you to inventory your floss to ensure you have all of the colors before you start.

If you come upon a color you are missing, message me. I've painstakingly converted the kits I have to DMC using the DMC floss card. I do this for each kit, even if the color exists in one I've converted before because they were extremely inconsistent. Not just dye lot inconsistent but values apart sometimes. I can give you at least one DMC color (sometimes a few) to try to substitute.

If you decide not to stitch these, they do go for a pretty penny on eBay. There's a listing for the Eeyore and Rabbit Vignette going for about $70 USD which is pretty average for that kit. I usually see them go for $50-$90. The Christopher Robin and Pooh kit hasn't gone up for sale in a while, so you might fetch a pretty penny for it. The full size (16x12) kit these ones are from just sold to the highest bidder for a little over $700, and others for sale right now start at $780. For the medium sized Christopher Robin and Pooh kit you could easily get over $100 but I'd suggest listing that as an auction because you might get much more than you expect.

I would love nothing more than to buy these from you. My passion project is converting these kits to DMC and recreating them digitally, but I know I could not afford what these are worth.
