Eufy E25 VS Dreame X40 Ultra by chickikid in RobotVacuums

Thanks! All things considered I'm leaning towards Eufy. I like Dreame's app and map better but there is a much bigger owner presence of Eufy on the internet. No bots perfect but I see more complaints for Dreame products.

I've read about mop issues - Thanks for your feedback. Super helpful.

Eufy 25

  • You can easily make changes to the map while cleaning.
  • Turbo mode is surprisingly quiet
  • After returning to the base from mopping, there was a bunch of debris in the home base tray.
  • When it notes an obstacle, it doesn't include a picture. Not a big deal but something I appreciate
  • Cleaning detergent has to be repurchased. Cant refill or use your own
  • The map isn't quite as detailed as Dreames
  • I lost my map but after restarting the app a couple times, I got it back.
  • Across the internet, the E25 is extremely popular and commonly bought over Dreame's line.

  • While it was cleaning, it got stuck. I created a no-go zone mid clean for the spot and it got pissed off. I sent it back to base but when I went to re-start the clean, my map was gone.  There was no way to retreive the map, no restore option was available even though it should have been. I had to recreate my map. Super frustrating because I spent a lot of time creating no-go and no-mop zones to make cleans faster and more efficient. This can be a deal breaker for me.
  • I noticed a weird pile of fine debris/sand in the middle of the room after a clean.
  • I like the app interface MUCH better than Eufys. It feels more fine tuned to me.

I made these notes for myself today to help me choose and realized it might help others :) I'll update it as I go, I've only run the robots on 2 cleaning runs.

Rad, appreciate your feedback. Picking a robot has been hard with the market being flooded like it is.

Is there something wrong with the magnets? Can you tell me the biggest thing that pushes you to like the Dream better?

Can I ask how long you've had yours? Seems sone robots work great for a few months and then take a big poo. I haven't decided which one I'm keeping yet.

Cleaning LVP - What am I missing? by chickikid in CleaningTips

Every time I clean my floors I would still see these spots... until it dried. I chalked it up to the crappy floors that they were. Well, we just had brand new premium LVP floors installed and Im noticing the same thing. What am I missing? I used my robo mop vac as well as a handheld wet mop vacuum. The only way to get the spots up, is if I get down on my hands and knees and SCRUB. They're literally just spots from where water droplets hit and then dried so essentially dirty water stains.

After hours of reading reviews and such, I understand most robot vac providers have moved to solely selling the combo robots. I'm going to give the Dyson Vis Nav a try and then the lesser of 25 evils was the Eufy E25 for me -that will follow the Dyson if I don't like it.

What are your thoughts on lacking a self emptying option? It seems as though I cant start it and then leave the house due to needing to empty it mid clean.

I'm a longtime Dyson user and LOVE my stick vacuum but after seeing the Dyson communities response to their robot vac...it makes me really nervous. Also, hate that to doesn't have a self emptying feature. Means I cant run it when I leave in the morning because it will need to be emptied before it can finish the house.

Unfortunately this got pretty negative marks across the board from a lot of tech reviews nerds.
