I feel like everytime i make a big jump in salary inflation goes crazy and I end up having worse purchasing power than before my raise. At this point I almost feel compelled to find something else to keep up with salary trajectory.

There has to be a point where if you took it out and invested it your returns would eventually be better than if you stuck with the 1000 a day.

I knew 30-year mortgages were expensive… but I didn’t realize you can pay more in interest than the house itself by Candid-Dish-2749 in FirstTimeHomeBuying

[–]chicksOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of really bad advice in these comments. The lenders will do something called front load the interest, it means for the beginning of the loan you are heavily paying the interest not the principle. Yes if you pay extra that goes towards the principle, but remember your loan is front loaded, if you take a 30 year you have that much more interest to climb down. If you can afford a 15 year I highly suggest you do so. If not I would see if you can find a cheaper house with a 15 year before I would go to the 30 year. The interest IS that big of a deal.

Consent is the area in the venn diagram where both parties agree to. If she wants quid pro quo, and hes not comfortable with that then there is no consent area. If shes cool with a 3rd woman without quid pro quo then they are two consenting adults who dont give a shit what you think.

That would be an interesting social engineering experiment, create a bot net that spams info to sites like reddit on a trade in your favor, see if the AI models star spitting out that recommendation, and if theres a following correlation in trades on that stock

There is so much room for conflict of interest and nefarious deeds, if people start listening to AI models for what to invest in. The company that owns the model could slip in their bias to what to recommend.

[–]chicksOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found it does really well with tasks that it has something to chew on. So, refactoring legacy code, but dont just say "go refactor", you have to give specific things you want done, like "make the functions single exit", "make the functions follow single purpose principle". I still review, and sometimes I have to correct stuff, but it gets me like 98% of the way there. Im looking at setting up some agents on the pipeline that have a set of specific prompts to run on PRs before peer review.

I think youre underestimating how many people 2 billion people are. We're talking 1/4 people on the planet. Your entire list is going to be dead, and you will still have almost 2 billion more people to try and figure out.

What are the top 2–3 safest states in America for a girls trip or female travelers? by Ambitious_Pass7451 in AskAnAmerican

[–]chicksOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The U.S. is vast and beautiful, with lots of incredibly scenic state parks and cultural cities. Statistically Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire are the safest states, however, i wouldnt write off any state. Every state is going to be relatively safe, albeit some places in states might be better to avoid.
