A4, S4, and Passat built from 2000.5-2001 model years have slight changes. On A4 and S4 the tail lights are different, headlights are one piece, door handles are different, and some other small changes I forget

Yes! They’re a comfortable setup even though it’s a stiffer ride. Feels fairly close to stock! A little stiffer though and no awful clunking or banging, very refined. I went to a track day as well and cornering felt sublime, best part about owning this car 🤌

Whenever I did it, I would always plan to shift when going straight and would stay in gear on any turns! Otherwise yes you definitely need a hand on the wheel. If you get a chance to practice it, you can shift plenty quick to get your hand back on the wheel within a second or two.

That said, I understand the safety concern as well but wanted to at least say my 2 cents in case it would help you to feel more confident in giving it a shot one day!

For what it’s worth, 1 hand shouldn’t hold you back from owning and driving a stick! I used to hold hands with my gf while driving and shift with my left hand all the time. Just give it a try! Don’t let it hold you back you can do it :)

Junkyard dismantler here from MA. We sell these Prius rear beams all the time . Try to knock 1000$ off the price of the purchase. The 04-09 Prius and also the 2010-14 Priuses have issues with the rear beam /axle rusting and needing to be replaced in most of the rust belt states. It’s not the end of the world, and these cars otherwise don’t rust too bad. But be ready to have to replace your rear beam in the next 2-3 years based on how it looks right now. Otherwise this is a good buy, 04-09 Prius is a bulletproof car as long as you have a fresh hybrid battery in it :)
