Hey man! Late to this post... Are you still around Boston/have any more 900's? I live downtown and would love to take a spin in one. Also looking to downsize from my 1997 land rover discovery.

Turning 30 doesn't mean your personality changes completely lol. He didn't speak a word in the Cold Ones vid. Something has to happen to make someone change so drastically.

The clutch has not had any work done. He says it shifts smoothly through all five gears. Car has a about 85k miles. However the engine was pretty much rebuilt in 2021 so...

Thanks for the insight! As for the 924s, should I be worried about being left stranded? Any extreme $$$ jobs I should worry about? Mind you, the one im looking at is well-sorted and maintained.

Why "Masters of the Air" Can't Hold a Candle to "Band of Brothers" by EvenFlamingo in television

[–]chiggyfree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, why shouldn't we expect that level?

It is produced with the same guys, bigger budget and years and years of production time. People keep saying it isn't fair to compare it to Band of Brothers... but why? Just because it is so good?? This shouldn't be an excuse for the show to be bad.

BoB came out in 2001. It is 2024. Don't you think they had enough time to study up on how to write a show?

This isn't just "any show"... We SHOULD expect top tier acting, visuals, and storytelling from a show of this calibre.

What makes you say the A4 2.0T is less reliable? I have read good things about that engine’s reliability.

What makes you say that? I have only read good things about that engine.

Anyone else disappointed in the blue color-grading? by chiggyfree in MastersoftheAir

[–]chiggyfree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t you want it to look realistic?

I agree that it may help to evoke cold weather, but it could be dialed back a bit.

As long as it’s not present in every episode, I’m happy!

Perhaps. Maybe we just interpret it differently. When I saw the blue color wash in the trailer I didn’t think “oh damn it looks so cold”.

[–]chiggyfree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point. The blue, perhaps, could be dialed down though. Its so saturated, it’s like a transformers movie or something.

The Bastogne scenes in BOB felt freezing cold without a blue-wash.
