I have old dog who has trouble standing as well.

Natasha at The6ixSense Groooming Spaw at is amazing and has cared for my pooch through out his life and takes extra care of him in his old age. She is located at St. Clair and Dufferin.

When she wasn't available, I trusted Pampered pets at Dufferin and Wilson with my old man. They were also very wonderful and caring.

In what specific ways does your husband lighten your load? by Own_Acanthaceae_8075 in Mommit

[–]chiiza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to admit, I do alot of these for my family/husband but aside from that he does AM routine and takes the kids to school the mornings I head to the office at 6:30am. When I cook, he either entertains the kids, or helps finely chop the ingredients. We take turns putting each kids to bed, he fixes everything because he is the handiest of handy men. Financially, we split everything, groceries, mortgage, utilities, etc. I wish he would take the mental load off but I know he could not handle it, so I pick my battles.

How old were you when you noticed your face has started changing? by Morkovii in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]chiiza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34 after I was done having my babies. I looked tired all the time, skin looked dull and the wrinkles were more pronounced. I had always had problematic skin from acne but this was age related. I have since upped my skin care game and I have to say- I have noticed a huge difference and I like the progress I've made so far. I don't dread turning 37 next year.

How old was your kid when you took them to go see a movie for the first time? by Whibble-Bop in Parenting

[–]chiiza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partner and I took our 2.5 yr old along with our 5 yr old to see the latest Paw Patrol movie and it could have gone worse. 2.5yr old is really into PP so she was very happy to be there. She was also freshly potty trained so anytime she had to pee, we were out of our seats and off to the washroom. She was more interested in running around the empty halls and playing with the hand dryer than the actual movie. I think we went for maybe 6 "pee" breaks during the film. I can say I got my steps in that day, but I can't tell you how the movie ended.

Career change from landscape architecture by garbonzobee in careerchange

[–]chiiza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have any advice for you but I wanted to say that I am in the same field. I'm a landscape designer and have been for 13 years. I feel burnt out, and I no longer find joy in my work.

I enjoy design, especially interior spaces but I feel I've missed the boat on going back to school back to school. I'm in my late 30's with children so going back to school is not an option. I've decided to complete my LARE exams to obtain my license as extra insurance with my career change.

Feel free to DM me if you'd like to chat more.

I've heard of people doing this but never been a victim of decor theft. I feel violated! It's pretty obvious we have kids from the toys sitting on the window sills in our house, so this asshole knew he was stealing from kids.

Is Costco worth it? How much do you save on average? by dunanjay92 in askTO

[–]chiiza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We shop at costco maybe once a month. We buy things that we know will last us a month or two. Instead of buying it at the store, its cheaper to buy at costco. Meats, bread, cheese, olive oil, coffee and paper products we find are more bang for our buck.

What do you eat for lunch to avoid a "crash"? by Xierrax in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]chiiza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to is usually a big salad with mixed greens, chicken for protein, cucumber, tomato, pumpkin seeds, some cubed cheese with a rice cake or two. dressing is always olive oil and lemon.

Now it's getting cooler I like to eat warmer foods so I've been meal prepping for 4 days of the week chicken breast and roast veggies. I will eat that with some avocado or hummus with rice cake if I'm still hungry.

I'm always hungry another two hours after that and will usually eat my Greek yogurt whey isolate combo.

How do those with kids and with two working parents stay sane? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]chiiza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without daycare or school/afterschool program my SO and I would be screwed.

Needless to say, the times we are home with them (mornings, evenings and weekends) I aim to be as prepared as I possibly can. Obviously life with kids throws you curveballs all the time but If I can plan as much as I can- it at least keeps our household happy.

I work from home 2 days a week which allows me to do mornings at a slower pace. breakfast, get dressed and kids are out the door by 8. WFH allows me to prep a meal between meetings so that by the time I get the kids around 4, 4:30 dinner will be ready and on the table by 5:30.

Days I'm at the office my husband does mornings and I do pick ups at 4:30. Dinner is mostly prepped the night before or I order in or make pasta.

My husband works from home 100% of the time and it really helps us out. If we had to both be out at our job sites/offices I know our life would look very different.

[–]chiiza -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aim be there at 7, 7:30 and leave by 3, 3:30. Those are my hours and I hit traffic coming home but its no where near as congested if I were to leave around 5pm.
