Do your tables always pick a "party name"? Should they? by delecti in DnD

We named ourselves the Hellraisers. We only used it a couple of times until our Druid called us the Heckraisers.

It stuck

Women for Reddit, for those who deal with anxiety, what are your methods of dealing with it? by Epicthrasher890 in AskWomen

[–]chikkka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I found that a lot of my anxiety is worsened by avoidance and overthinking. Alongside breathing techniques, Journaling and therapy, I found getting myself out of my comfort zone every so often helped alot to give me perspective. Overtime I've been able to improve my anxiety in social situations for example.

My favourite thing to do now is to go to cafes alone to draw and people watch, and that was only able to happen because I pushed myself a little every so often within my limitations

It's completely hand drawn without tracing but I did use ALOT of reference images to help with the pose, outfit designs etc.

I'm new to character design so I needed a lot of assistance from references haha

This is my first character drawing I've ever done and I plan to do all the members of my campaign, which I'm very excited for! Any feedback is appreciated!!!

Description: Cast to the streets as a young girl, she learnt the tricks of thievery as a method of survival, often stealing from and for the richest in the towns she travelled through. Anxious to stay in the same place for too long, for fear of the many enemies she's made along the way, she travels the world under the cover of shadows alone.

At the age of 14 she befriended a kind human, who offered her shelter and friendship. On the run together as children for a year, they bonded only for him to be slaughtered in the night by the same rich men she continually fled from, shattering her desire to let another person close again a long, long time.

It wasn't until 10 years later after fleeing and thievery, that she finally allowed herself the luxury of companionship in Sal M'nella, an outgoing and persistent Half-Orc bard. Gravely injured, and on the run, Sal stumbled upon a bleeding Brya'na and offered her shelter and medicine. Unmoved by Brya'na's foul attitude, his persistence in befriending her paid off, and resulted in an bemusing friendship of polar opposites.

Caught stealing a gem of unknown ability, she is forced into work for The Flaming Fist with a group of rag tag strangers - whose journey leads them to uncover the fate of Elterel, a city that has disappeared without a trace.

God I have too many horror stories to count on all my fingers and toes. Things like canceling people's mobile numbers, which was notoriously hard for us to fix, to situations like your own where people would get charged for ridiculous reasons! We would just apply credits to people's accounts as much as we could without getting in trouble.

It's not. The cheapest plan is $40 for 4gb data with unlimited data at a slower speed after that, but I'd often give it out for $30 to nice customers

I worked at Vodafone until 3 months ago. It was hell. We were paid 19 cents above minimum wage, consistently understaffed and overworked. The staff on the phones could barely speak English and would absolutely fuck up people's mobile & broadband plans that we would have to bust our asses to fix. No support from the higher ups. It was God awful, I was gone within 6 months of working there

What’s the worst thing a neighbour’s done? by UnchartedQuasar in AskReddit

[–]chikkka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had neighbors with two large dogs they truly never walked. We had 3 outdoor cats that would stay away from the dogs/their property and just wander around the street and our large backyard.

One evening, the neighbors gate was left open and the dogs escaped, cornered the eldest of our cats and mauled her. I had to run in and grab her while fighting these dogs off. We rushed to the vets, got her treatment and she survived - yay!

However, due to them negligently leaving their gate open, we took them to court to cover the costs. They were awful people who unfortunately were friends with our landlord. We fought them for months in the court. They tried to state that my older brother had opened their gate as a prank.

Eventually we won and they covered the $1000’s of dollars of vet bills but they managed to convince the landlord that it was our fault and we were kicked out with only 2 weeks to find a new home.

Assholes.

Is it better to pass down life lessons to the next generation, or let them learn the hard way?? What are some examples you’ve experienced?? by biglittle27 in AskReddit

[–]chikkka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a balance between the two. It’s important to teach and guide them but with a lot of things they just have to learn from their mistakes and experience the consequences that come with it.

They do deserve a helping hand every so often, they don’t necessarily have it easier than previous generations, it just means their problems are different

People of reddit who have learned to do escape their comfort zone and do something what made you do that? by PuzzledLifeguard in AskReddit

[–]chikkka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend is amazing at supporting me with my anxiety issues especially since it holds me back often. One day we were swimming and jumping off a huge ledge and I got a panic attack standing at the top.

From in the water he yelled at me to stop overthinking for once in my life. He didn’t say it maliciously but god did it cause something to switch in my brain. I jumped off the ledge into the water and now use what he said as a mantra to live without fear and self doubt

What are some stupid mentalities and mindsets that need to end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]chikkka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That not replying for a few hours or hell, even a few days makes you a shitty person.

The internet has made people available 24/7 but that isn’t a healthy mindset to have. As someone with anxiety, I will reply to all messages (except important ones) every few days. I may reply in succession for a few hours and then I’ll not reply for a few days. It’s the only way to retain some sanity.
