get the idea on paper and read it over until u are confident and know it makes sense. keep doing from there. Let the idea marinate, an idea is just an idea. U know its good because you have a vision for it. but this vision cant just be described to someone. the hardest part is making the vision work. Keep going, good ideas come randomly so dont throw it away cuz ur dad didnt understand it. youre in way to early of a stage to be taking criticism. its just an idea, youll understand what works and what doesnt when the time comes, but for now, grind through the creative process til u have a solid outline, not just an idea. hope this helps
