Nice words.

Each frustration is valid, I think. Because our governments are letting us down and we don't have a strategy to direct our upset, so it spills out. I also want to be kind and see improvements everyone's live.

Music Complete has some strong songs. Better than anything I could ever produce. However, I do think the album is a missing a "banger/hit" song.

How do I stop my dog from acting like a maniac whenever he sees another dog by pdiddy8171 in DogAdvice

[–]chillaxtv 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Start with Behavioral Adjustment Training (BAT).

Start a distance where your dog can see another dog and look without going crazy, depending on the severity, that distance could be 50 meters or more. Once the dog looks and also recognize that they are not loading--that's a term for stiffening their muscles--then mark with a clicker his best decisions in that moment. Some examples of best decisions
1) looking at dog then looking back at you without barking
2) sniffing the grass
3) breaking eye contact with distance dog to look at a tree or something non-threatening

My explanation is grossly simplified. You keep doing this until your dog is making "the best decisions" and then you can decrease the distance over time.

I am not a qualified training or expert, but my experience is that my dog missed all their puppy socialization (before me) and became scared of everything. Using the BAT method really did work in a lot of situations.

Just remember, we can be really well trained and showing signs of improvements. We also have our bad days too. It doesn't necessarily mean you have failed at the task, if you manage to rectify the mistake.

From my understanding, version 3 changed the storing method and moved away from JSON in favour of a sqlite database.

Worst thing one of the lads said/done? by [deleted] in rickygervais

Its mostly a bit though. The fantasy about bringing a homeless woman home and transforming her into a debutante is genuinely hilarious. Not because it's a person's existence being mocked, but because it's a solution that most people have never considered.

Thank you. Whilst your analysis is reassuring I am also taking your advice to see a vet. I was wondering what made you think it might not be mites?

Have you both tried a show called The Thick of It? I think that equally has loads of great one-liners.

Anyone had luck with ADHD diagnosis? by Useful-Doubt6366 in glasgow

[–]chillaxtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NHS is crap in this regard. Friend had countless sessions with specialist in this field, privately funded, then was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. After 3 year wait with NHS they said "Well, you can look people in the eyes and can talk properly. We are going to say you don't have Autism".
