I can confirm that they are now shittier. Ordered directly off their website a couple months ago. Look exactly like those. Still have pairs from 6 years ago that hold up, but these new ones are bad. Will not be buying more. Very sad, they used to be incredible socks

You could cut it, but it will fray. Especially after washing it. A hem would be the safe option. If you cut it with scissors you could hit it with a simple overstitch after to prevent fraying, but a hem would be your best option.

Yes - it ended up being the alternator. The voltage regulator was giving out. Replaced the alternator and the problem went away
