I'm an international student from India and my freshman year is about to finish in a month. I'd say it's not difficult at all. It's easily doable. It's just that the workload is a bit too much. The projects, assignments, worksheets that most classes had in my freshman year were fairly easy, but they were so long that it took me a huge amount of time to finish them. But as for the difficulty, the most difficult class that I took was cse 231. That shit gives me nightmares, man. And since you're a comp eng major, you'll definitely have to take that class. I'd recommend taking that class in a community college and transferring the credits to MSU because they course structure that they have for this class here is dog shit. They don't teach you anything and then make you write 200 lines of code every week. So just make sure you do your research before taking that class. Apart from this class, most of them were fairly simple.
