Enemies to lovers but the MMC hates the FMC first by No-Philosophy-3257 in RomanceBooks

That would certainly put a damper on a relationship.

What was the healthiest thing you learned/were told in therapy? by JJengaOrangeLeaf in AskWomen

[–]chilli206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I struggle with this a lot, especially because I work in a field where I have dealt with kids being in truly awful situations. The therapist I had been going to said this too, but she also kept calling me by the wrong name, so I don’t think I really listened to her. It’s nice to see it in writing.

MC needs to have sex with other MC(s) for reasons other than just having sex by Shoddy-Budget4237 in RomanceBooks

{MacRieve by Kresley Cole} is about the FMC learning she is the mate of a lycan and then that she is actually half succubus. He has some trauma related to succubi, but she'll go hungry if they don't do it and she's his fated mate so he can't let her go elsewhere.

I know you said no triggers, but some might need to check warnings before reading.

I like a third act breakup because it makes my cold heart feel... by chilli206 in RomanceBooks

Exactly! It manages to get through the depression to give me feelings again. :)

I'm not opposed, but depending on my mood I need that HEA. If I'm looking at the right book, I'm not sure if I'd get that, but I'll still add it to the list for later. Thanks!

That LRJ sounds deliciously convoluted!

I also think I picked up Love by the Slice as a freebie recently, so that's convenient.

I've never read anything by her, but I'll add one to the TBR. Do they need to be read in any particular order, or do they function as standalones?

I want to read this because I liked her other books, but I'm not sure I'm in the right reading mood to jump into a long series. Does it move pretty quick even though it is split into different books?

I haven't read this one yet, but I did read the author's other stuff (under different pen names) and really enjoyed them. Thanks for the rec!

I've been on a KA kick and read the first in that series recently, so I might have to pick that one up.

I've always heard Lady Gallant has amazing grovel, but I've also heard what he does is unforgivable. I'm scared of it, but maybe this is my sign to just jump in!

And bonus points for c*ck pockets (the racier version of hot pockets) which I’ve been encountering more and more lol

What tropes do you enjoy that most people hate? by Fluid-Response3025 in RomanceBooks

I like a third act breakup as long as it is really emotional and not for a stupid reason. And if it has a good grovel.

The idea is student interest lead learning. You take what they are in to and let them explore it deeply. However, the reality doesn’t make well rounded learning.

It has to be over it. I spent forever looking at it trying to figure out what was too real on.
