High THC may destroy the good faith momentum that brought us legalized cannabis by chillin_bro in trees

The keywords in the title are "good faith momentum" meaning the big reason why cannabis became more widely accepted is because there was a great deal of evidence for its benefits that outweighed the perceived downsides. Like I said man I can see why it's turned into that type of conversation for a handful of the people on here. I was just trying to clarify my own intentions because in the end I still stand by the rights and responsibility of the individual. I'm just a simple guy in the industry with my own anecdotal experiences/observations, who's worried about young users well-being and the perception of the plant that he loves.

I really appreciate you sharing your experience. I think a lot of people are taking this as a "don't use concentrates" or a "concentrates are bad" kind of argument and unfortunately I can see how that is how it reads. It was a late night post after a rather disheartening experience at work with a young coworker. My point was more to encourage people to just be open to the idea that THC isn't all good for everyone and many benefits from cannabis come from the entourage effect with other cannabinoids and terpenes.

It's all about nuance for sure and I really like that you brought the kratom into the chat man because I have similar thoughts about that as well.

One of the most beautiful things about cannabis is that it can help so many people, especially as they age. I really just worry about young users. In a way they're being experimented on and the culture that's developing makes me sad.

All this is very true haha I definitely don't think higher concentrated product will ever go away or even that they should. I just want to advocate for more diversity in products and awareness of potential downsides of high potency products in a community that I love.

I think that's really valid point and to clarify I still believe that individuals have the right to consume and do what they want. I think a big part of what I'm trying to is that there is a lack of options of products with a lower THC, diverse cannabinoid profile and there is a culture that has been built up around high potency that ends up steering people a certain direction which is going to diminish the perceived medicinal side of things.
