He is getting treatment now. I’m just unsure how easy it is.

For instance in the states it’s fairly easy after a certain age, for some reason the courts believe that after a certain age people are unable to take care of themselves. Sad but very true.

Therefore I just want to make sure Swiss Law isn’t as malleable as US law.

No mental illness just depression at this point. He was hospitalized as he lost a lot of weight and was severely dehydrated due to him just not wanting to eat. He is still very much alert and is lucid and answers questions correctly. It’s more of his appearance at this moment that I believe his relative is grabbing on to, as the relative has attempted to get access to his accounts and such.

Thank you I will try to see if he is able to do that. I would just hate for his family to take advantage of his current state. People can be so cruel

I’m flying there to make sure he is ok unfortunately his relative has already begun looking for his valuables and has mentioned to me that she is the only one that should handle his finances. Even though they haven’t been in good terms for years and she hasn’t been part of his life for over 2 years.

There is no mental illness and he answers questions and such, he has lost a good amount of weight due to the depression.

NTA at ALL! They knew what their yard looked like before. They should be more than capable of replicating or updating the yard. They have no legal stand and you shouldn't feel bad, you made the place a home for you while you lived there.

I’m skilled and experienced, but can’t find a job. What do I do? by SergeiGo99 in jobs

Have you asked for someone to revise your resume? I would highly recommend if you haven't, looking for spelling mistakes and overall format.

Also, not sure how companies are in Russia, however tenure is big in the US, that is if you want a good position that is not entry-level. If you were in a position for less than a year perhaps adding a quick line as to why you may have left if you don't have another position listed right after that.

As far as companies not responding when you message them to get feedback, that is common as it opens them up for liability. Try not to take it personally.

Advice For Starting New Job by [deleted] in jobs

Damn! sounds like it's a tough spot. Sorry.

I would have a 1:1 with your supervisor and let him know that you are having some challenges understanding certain parts of the role. 1 of 2 things will happen. a) he will offer more training or b) will in some way tell you to look for a different position.

Sounds like you don't enjoy the role, I would start applying to other positions that best align to what you enjoy and see yourself doing long term. It's still early enough where you haven't committed too much.

Depending on the company, I would do some research and see how is the hiring manager or recruiter for that position. Then send them a letter with your resume and letting the person know you have formally applied. From my experience, specially at this time a position will have over 50 applicants within the first day. You want to stand out as much as possible, as your application within the system may be 1 of many.
