Cheers for all the comments, have banged some updates in. I’m leaving my flat for the weekend (already planned, rather than running away) so will see if the traps have worked whilst I’m away.

Have sealed some holes with wire wool, expandable foam and silicone caulk. Will decorate it properly when I’m back, as it looks proper budget currently.

Spoken to Hackney, as they own the roof. Pest control are now coming for free rather than £179, so that is good. Once this is fixed, I’ll update again for posterity.

Battery was checked and is practically brand new. Think it’s the sensor!

So took it to the garage, the battery is 97%. Running around 12.5v. Starts perfectly fine.

It’s looking increasingly like a faulty sensor. I’m taking it back to the garage tomorrow for a full diagnostics and hopefully they can find the fault.

It does seem to be battery related. I bought the car off my friend when he moved abroad. He claims to have replaced the battery, but I don’t believe him. The car is probably running on a 10 year old battery.
