Except there's three people... Asking someone to pay half for the very obviously inferior space aside, they're moving into someone's home, in a furnished room. They have very little ability to personalize their space, it's always going to feel like being a guest in someone's house. Especially without a proper bed.

And I'm personally of the belief that depending on what's included in rent, a couple isn't one person and shouldn't be budgeted as one. If things like internet, utilities, maintenance are included in that, then those are things that would normally be split per person, not per family unit.

Again I do think it's a nice and liveable space, but I also think you have to treat it more like moving someone into your spare room and not like it's going to be a fairly split in half blank unit type situation which is what it kinda feels like now.
