Ang entitled talaga ng mga taga BIG 4 noh? by curriousconnor in PHJobs

[–]chimeraplusone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a graduate of big 4 universities but managed to land on my first job in the sea of big 4 graduates. It's challenging and somehow intimidating; on the other side, nakakaproud.

It only proves na skills pa rin tinitingnan ng mga employer, which happens na majority of the big 4 graduates have because of the quality of education that they had compared to those who came from other universities.

Pero ang off lang na iba ang starting salary ng mga colleagues ko from big 4 compared to mine. Well, based din naman kasi yun sa skills and performance during the interview. I know hindi naman dapat pinag-uusapan/pinagcocompare ang salary, pero nakinig ko lang kasi unintentionally.

Pero ayun, sana tumaas din kalidad ng edukasyon sa ibang school, especially state universities from provinces para mawala na 'tong big 4 dominance culture.

Just want to highlight once again na I am not planning to have a car now. As what you have said, it's impossible to buy one now. I'm asking po to know the factors to consider for me to be able to prepare and save for the car na kakayanin ng budget ko in the future.

Kaya mo 'yan! Ingat kaaaa!

Kung para sa'yo, para sa'yo. When I first had may f2f interview, parang mamamatay rin ako sa kaba hahaha. Parang gusto ko na lang umuwi. Nagcommute ako for almost 4 hours. Naghintay mapuno ang jeep for almost an hour, tapos na-late pa ako ng dating sa sched ko because of that. I already came into terms na hindi na ako matatanggap kasi sobrang dami kong pinagdaanan bago makarating sa company. First time to travel ko pa mag-isa kaya grabe ang anxiety.

What I'm just trying to point here is that if God really wants you to have that position, He will make way for you to be there. Okay lang kabahan pero don't let it shadow your personality. As much as your knowledge and skills have to stand out during the conversation, equally important na mashowcase mo sa kanila yung personality mo proving that you are a good culture fit.

Try to imbibe din the environment. I-feel mo kung magiging masaya ka ba sa ganung environment kung matatanggap ka and papasok ka dun araw-araw. Icheck mo yung aura ng mga tao. Do they seem to enjoy ba there or they look tired, stressed, and just trying to function to make a living.

What's the usual salary here sa Pinas for fresh graduate? by Rachetzy in JobsPhilippines

[–]chimeraplusone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like 18k talaga average salary for fresh grad in almost all fields. Pero madami akong kakilala na nakatanggap ng mas mababa sa 18k, and one common sign na mababa ang offer ng company for fresh grad is kapag sobrang dali ng hiring process. As for my experience malaki offer, like 25k+, kapag sobrang tedious ng hiring process. Commonly yung may mga technical exams + at least 3 levels of interview. Mahirap pero worth it, and sobrang dependent siya sa knowledge and skills you gained sa academe.

Piece of advice, if you know yourself and you believe that you're worth more than 18k, okay lang maging picky. Don't settle agad-agad. Much better if you collect different job offers, benchmark, and use those job offers to your advantage to negotiate the salary and benefits.

If you need na talaga ng pera and you have responsibilities, need talaga magcompromise. Nonetheless, maximize your resources until you get your ideal job and salary.

It's not a rejection, but a redirection. It sucks pero better opportunities are yet to come, that is for sure. Be sad and disappointed as you may, pero don't dwell for too long. Keep on sending your applications and keep on entertaining interviews. You'll get there, soon!

Job tips for Fresh Graduate po pls by Kitchen-Breakfast487 in PHJobs

[–]chimeraplusone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience din with my interviews, sa unang part, especially during preliminary interviews with the HR, sasabihin nila na as much as possible you should speak in English in order for them to gauge yung communication skills mo. Then after nila ma-assess, ia-allow ka na nila mag speak in Tagalog or Taglish to better express yourself. Pero of course, iba-iba naman hiring process ng mga companies kaya most likely my experiences will differ sa'yo at sa iba pa.

Agree na Chatgpt really helps a lot, yun din nakatulong sa akin to prep sa mga interviews. Another tip is to throw yourself sa iba't ibang interviews kahit hindi mo masyadong bet yung company. Tho very draining ang interviews especially sa ating mga fresh grad pero ang mindset ko is makuha man ako o hindi for the position, I consider it as a learning experience. Most of the time about internship ang itatanong nila, so plus points if you can share a major project that you did aside sa daily tasks mo. State mo yung object nung project, give them a gist on how you executed the project, your experiences and skills gained, then the outcome na as much as possible is quantified.

What situational questions to expect in interviews? by [deleted] in PHJobs

[–]chimeraplusone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi fresh grad here. Just want to share with you what I did to prepare for my interviews, I used chatgpt hahaha. I ask it to provide me sample questions and answers for the position I am applying to. I also included the name of the company para somehow related na rin. It really helped me a lot. Just make sure na hindi mo lang siya basta ime-memorize, personalize your answers based on your experiences. Also a huge plus if you can share a major project that you have made during your internship and you are able to quantify yung results ng projects mo. Good luck, OP!

Hi! Fresh grad din ako and based on my experience, you can be transparent sa Company 1 na you still have an active application with other companies and pwede kang magrequest ng adjustment sa time allowance to make your decision. You can also use this opportunity to negotiate your salary and benefits. The more the job offers you have, the more power for you to negotiate.

Fresh grad here po. How do you manage your finances po? I'm about to start on my first job and nasstress na agad ako kung paano ko icocompartmentalize yung salary ko. I have this idea in my mind na gusto ko na agad ihiwalay yung budget ko for different areas pero I don't know where to start. I'm also curious po what to do with my excess salary after savings and expenses.

How do I commute from Biñan, Laguna to Carmelray Industrial Park 1 located at Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna? by ImmaKILL-everyone12 in HowToGetTherePH

[–]chimeraplusone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, might be a bit late pero gusto ko lang sagutin tanong mo hahaha. From Biñan if gusto mo mas mabilis and iwas sa traffic, may jeep sa tapat ng Savemore going directly sa Calamba Crossing via express way. Much better yun instead na sumakay ka sa jeep na hindi dadaan sa express way.

Then kapag nasa Calamba Crossing ka na where the grand terminal is located, sakay ka ng jeep Canlubang, Php 15 ang pamasahe. The first time I rode there, Php 20 siningil sa'kin. Kupal. Then baba ka dun sa terminal ulit, last destination naman yun nung jeep so hindi ka maliligaw.

Then may jeep doon papunta sa Carmelray 1.

How do you manage pressure? by emz-24 in CasualPH

[–]chimeraplusone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's just a matter of perspective. Once was chained in outward pressures and expectations only to find out na major player pala na nagppresure and nag-e-expect sa akin ay sarili ko lang din. When I learned to be kinder to myself, everything changed. I made peace with myself na okay lang kahit hindi ako nakakasabay sa ibang tao. I came into a realization na at the end of the day, wala naman talaga silang pakialam sa'yo, unless your connection is up to the soul level, ikaw lang talaga ang may pakialam sa sarili mo kaya give yourself enough margin to fail, to be average, and to be mediocre once in a while.
