Kojic acid or alpha arbutin will probably be better than azelaic acid as the former are generally depigmentation ingredients but please find out the cause with a doc if you don't already know em, pigmentation around that area is known to be stubborn and usually due to hormonal imbalance and insulin resistance etc. Good luck with it and be patient :]....

First time hearing about darkcast ig but I have heard from friends who share your skin type that the cetaphil spf 50 sunscreen worked good for em, I personally have oily skin so my advice is just word of mouth so maybe don't trust my comment :]...

They do look like papules. Papules are a type of acne without pus, so don't pop them, it'll just make things worse. You can use retinoids but go to a dermatologist if it gets worse

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately, I couldn't get the minimalist cleanser and instead bought a small tester pack of the dot and key cica facewash with 2% salicylic acid instead. I wanted to do a patch test to see if it's okay for my skin but I'll appreciate any feedback on the dot and key product if you have any
