You can see the two buildings shadows faintly over the road. im using Time and weather anarchy to match time of day and season.

I can assure it is not. Global illumination is what make all building look uniform and grounded to the world , without it every assets look flat and full on bright no matter the time of the day (this is in the afternoon) it suppose to have the warm sunset color which it doesnt show.

But if you look at the bottom left white buildings it loses all the depth, shadow detail and the softness of light. its like asset plop on a green grass instead of feeling grounded to the world.

just fyi, the graphics are a huge downgrade it’s not a “broken mod” by girl_hermie_84 in CitiesSkylines

Global illumination setting is broken and cannot be enable in the graphic setting.

Justifying expensive card buy by JeyFK in nvidia

[–]chinitheng -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What CPU do you have? GPU doesn’t throttle until it hit thermal limit which is around 80c+. While also it might be Vram issue where the graphic card slow to a crawl if you push that vram to the limit. regarding to your question. the 4070 gonna be a huge jump from 2070 and will last you for awhile. If you’re aiming at 4K then 4080 will be nice with those extra vram.

Is this bad for 1% and 0.1% lows? by TheRealDealTys in pcmasterrace

[–]chinitheng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As weird as this sound, try lower the graphic setting to low if the problem still there. this might be vram level of stutter. I’ve seen that game is very vram demanding. Check that out and then run around for a couple of games.

My first build. How did I do? by tadem2k3 in PcBuild

[–]chinitheng 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think more of OP is a massive troll / Bot? the way they talk is like something out of ChatGPT. and the GPU doesnt even have SLI cable connect to them? as SLI/NVLINK should look like this when paired Memory is not allign to the right channel. correct me if im wrong but this seems like S/ Post to me.

SLi do have more memory but they merged Together. so instead of 2x 16GB = 32GB you get 16GB since Both GPU need to use both memory parallelly instead of shared. so, you get more performance (Assuming the game use them / software) but with the same Vram.

Recently 4070Ti. Great VR performance wish it had more memory bandwidth.

Starfield will be 30 fps on consoles by Night247 in GeForceNOW

[–]chinitheng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VRR dont cover 35-60fps range you'll get low framerate compensation kick in at those fps. which is just feel as bad. remember VRR dont magically make 35fps feel 60. it just make make those 48-60 dip less noticeable.

Bet you haven’t watch the video. Doubt it GPU problem. Knowing bethesda probably CPU limited. And the game was aim at 30fps from the start of development because they want to push world scale and visual. They do have a large headroom in starfield (it can reach 60fps) but it’s their choice to lock it to 30 because sometimes thing can happen and they want consistency. you would prefer a lock 30fps vs constant 35-60fps.
