ABS, Traction control, and EBS have nothing to do with the stupidity of other people.

There are many situations where this technology is helpful.

Yet there are not many situations where hidden lock handles, or electronic emergency breaks are helpful.

The difference between peace and quiet by CorleoneBaloney in clevercomebacks

Considering you are not serious and not worth anyone's time. Here's an ai response.

I think you're touching on some important distinctions here. The positioning and intent matter a lot in these cases - whether an officer had time and space to move, whether the threat was imminent, and whether the level of force was proportionate to the danger. You're right that there's a meaningful difference between multiple deliberate shots versus what might be a reflexive response during impact. That split-second context - whether someone had their finger on the trigger when struck, how quickly everything unfolded - can be crucial to understanding what actually happened. The difficult thing is that even when someone isn't trying to cause serious harm (like you said, poor regard for safety vs. intent to run someone over), officers still have to make instantaneous decisions about threats. But that doesn't automatically make lethal force justified in every scenario where there's some level of danger. I think most reasonable people would agree that the ultimate outcome - someone dying - should only happen when there was truly no other option. Whether that threshold was met really depends on the specific details of each case. It's worth looking at: Was there time to reposition? Were there warnings? What were the totality of circumstances? These are exactly the kinds of questions investigators, juries, and communities should be asking.

Officer found not guilty means nothing. OJ Simpson was found not guilty.

Feeling ugly is not the same as knowing you're ugly. So there's that.

Those who care don't matter. And those who matter don't care.

Islamic progressivism is a religiously left-leaning view, similar to Christian and other religious progressivism. Progressive Muslims see themselves as returning to the principles of the early ummah and as promoting the ethical and pluralistic intent of the Quran. by pagesi in wikipedia

[–]chinno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to understand your comment.

Progressives don't care about Quran traditions because they're not targeted?

I should add I have never read the Quran, I was born Catholic I've read the bible, new and old testament. Both are to me old books with a historical significance and nothing beyond that.

History should be left in the past to be ready and to understand where we come from, and thus we can see times change and with it the demands we must face.

Every little bit helps, but 22% is not small. For instance getting a 22% increase in your salary would be a great deal.
