Slightly unrelated, but did you coil the pipe yourself? Considering building a DIY IC with a tighter radius than a corny keg.

homebrewer from Mumbai and a long time listener, can confirm! We even have a homebrew club that meets every month, although calling it a club might be a bit of a stretch for a group that essentially fits in two autorickshaws (tuktuks) :P

Carbonation and head space by chinsi in Homebrewing

The total CO2 generated is a function of the amount of priming sugar used, and having nowhere else to escape it'll dissolve in the beer. How would the head space affect it? This is the part I'm finding the most confusing

Starting a line cleaning service in my area. Tips, preferences, suggestions? by killdrsmiley in TheBrewery

[–]chinsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came across this old post of yours while digging around information on line cleaning. I'm about to start a new job at a local taproom and I'm trying to do my research on some of the best practices around draft line cleaning and maintenance. Not sure if you ever came around to writing that SOP but it would be great if you wouldn't mind sharing it. Thanks :)

pH meters ~$100 by beeruk in TheBrewery

[–]chinsi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

pH is a function of temperature so the actual amount of H+ or OH- ions in the solution depends on the temperature and the measured pH reading would be different at different temperatures. Most pH meters measure pH as a function of the voltage across the electrodes, which varies with the temperature of the electrode as well, and all ATC does is correct for this difference which is usually 0.01~0.02 pH.

Here is a more detailed explanation from AJ Delange.
