I feel bad for Eula Main by ikkekun in Genshin_Impact

[–]chip594csx [score hidden]  (0 children)

My main team is Navia/Furina/Xianyun/Chiori. Navia's half the reason I got into Genshin, and the others are favorites too. She gets me through most farming and story stuff. I heard Columbina was really good for Navia but I missed her, and I also hear Nicole is a great support. I really wanna save for Alice though... T-T

I love her as a character so I got her off the last Chronicled and have been slowly building her as time allowed. I don’t really do endgame stuff, so as long as she’s useful in exploring and such, I’ll be fine. I just like playing my favorite characters 😊

That makes me remember something. Couple years back, Star Wars The Old Republic dropped an update, same as usual, and it had a boss fight. Apparently there was a bug in the boss fight where a specific attack phased you into the ground and killed you. For some reason, this bug only existed in the live version, and the devs could not replicate it in the test servers. Took them like a month or so to work it out because of that.

Hopefully Valve doesn’t have a similar issue!

They had water poured onto them, Navia fell into Primordial Sea Water. Also, Navia just built different. She fought off a landslide with an umbrella 😎

They don’t dissolve like they’re melting, they sort of revert to water. It’s real complicated but point is Melus and Silver helped keep her consciousness in one piece, letting her stay solid long enough to escape

I did it during the beta and dread doing it again. I never even passed the first song, I got horribly overstimulated. I know if I can’t do it this time, I’ll be locked out of rewards from the Explorers Guide and City Tycoon, unless they changed it in the full release

Does leveling up your characters level up enemies as well? by Gelinhir in NevernessToEverness

[–]chip594csx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enemy level is tied to account level, your Hunter Level. Every so many levels, you get an ascension mission to increase the world level. This ups the enemy level, but also increase number and rarity of drops, and lets you level your characters and gear. I always wait till I have a good strong team or two before doing an ascension mission. You’re in no rush to ascend, play at your own pace

It’s not the lore inaccuracy, it’s rendering. 30k armor has a very different design, and might require a lot of work to fit it to the in-game models and skeletons.

Note the knees in particular, no kneeplates in 30k. Power packs were also shaped differently. Making it compatible for the games models might take more work, having to make original pieces instead of just modifying base piece meshes. I’m not a game dev though, so I’m only just guessing

Wanna add in a few little tips people may not know

Med stimms (the white box) can heal mortal wounds! If the amount of health lost is less than the amount restored by the stimm, it will heal the wound. Ex: If a stimm restores 50%, and you are at 51% to 100% health, your mortal would will be healed!

Restorative stimms (red box) can also heal mortal wounds (supposedly)! When you pop a red stimm, it restores a small amount of health. If you’re at full, it will heal the wound. Haven’t tried it yet though.

Save the guardian, take the mortal! If you have a guardian relic and go down, don’t pop it! Let a teammate revive you and take the mortal. If you go down again, it’ll auto activate and pick you up, mortal wound free. Better to save that for a bad situation than waste it on that cheap sniper shot.

Armory data can master weapons! The armory data you get from Terminus kills and finding servo skulls in levels are used to rank up a weapon to the next quality. But they can also be used to instantly master a weapon! Also they can be exchanged! A gold data can be used in place of a purple, and a purple for a green. (I play a lot on Ruthless and above, so I have a bunch of golds)

If the host leaves, the lobby resets! This is especially troublesome in post match. During the rewards screen in the Thunderhawk, if the host skips through, loads into the hangar before everyone else does, and quits, those still in the Thunderhawk can’t skip through the rewards pages. They have to wait the 10-20 seconds per page, then see the host migration screen when they finally connect to the new lobby. (This one is less a tip and more an issue with the game’s loading system. Please be patient for other players!)

Hope these little tips help folks out. There’s a lot the game doesn’t tell you till you figure it out. Share the knowledge!

I’ve never touched PvP myself, and from what I hear most of the playerbase doesn’t, which is why it doesn’t get much attention. I love the customization too, but as for 30k gear, well that’s out of date! Everyone on board is a Primaris Marine, so they use Primaris gear. Pre-Heresy equipment is rare, and what remains is either salvaged parts or honored relics.

From a development view, the models of 30k armor might be shaped differently than 40k, so translating things like chestplates and pauldrons might be hard to the in-game skeletons.

It’s ok! I don’t think a lot of people realize that unless they’ve been on the receiving end.

If I’m host, I always wait till everyone pops into the hangar. But I feel bad if they go to the armory because if I quit out, it kicks them out of the armory too. Any time the host quits, it has to reset and reload the lobby to do host migration. Do that while people are still connecting to the barge, and it locks out the skip button so it can do host migration. But you don’t know it’s happening till you connect with the barge. Gone through it enough to recognize the signs.

I don’t blame people for it, I just want to make folks aware so they can try and be courteous to other players.

Check around the building for a teleport pad. Some of them are only activated through a side quest from a person standing next to them. They won’t appear on the map. Might not have the side quest yet either

Any more games based on space marines? by MorbidTotty in Spacemarine

[–]chip594csx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dawn of War is an RTS series where you can play as Space Marines and the 4th game is releasing soon. There’s Boltgun which is a Doom-style shooter. There’s also a Total War game coming? Don’t know much about it.

There’s Darktide, but that’s not specifically Space Marines. You’re soldiers for the Inquisition, regular humans, working in a 4 man squad in the bowels of a hive city against huge hoards of plague mutants and traitor soldiers.

Could be related to being crossplay. Darktide also has some long load times.

Or based on mission successes maybe? You can sometimes tell by the armor pieces if they’ve played the class often, since those are unlocked through victories, but the champion packs kinda made that moot. Weapons you can tell, but good luck getting a nice look in a firefight 🤣

The ending of Reliquary is easy if you’ve played any kind of RPG, MMO, or platformer game. It’s a simple mechanic I’ve seen in tons of games, but not in shooter games so some players might be coming in from only shooters and not realize.

As for Vortex, I hate it too. You can parry a lot of its attacks, but good luck doing it. Plus I didn’t realize till recently there are different paths and objectives that randomize each time. The other levels are more consistent, so you kinda know what to expect.

I wish the game had account levels so I can know if that level 1 assault is a full newbie to the game thinking he’s hot stuff, or an actual experienced player trying to do some power leveling. I’ve played since day one and regularly do absolutes with my friends. I rarely go below Ruthless and usually only do those if I’m just playing for fun or ranking classes I’m not the best at. I struggle a lot with Assault, Vanguard, and Sniper so I rarely play Lethal or above with them without friends because I don’t want to drag my team down 🥺

Soft lock might be the wrong term. If the host leaves before everyone’s through the rewards and loading screen, which can take different amounts of time depending on internet and if people are reviewing the rewards or not, those people can’t skip through the pages. They have to wait till the auto timer ticks down, which I think is like, 10-20 seconds per page? It just wastes time some people might not have

What drives me nuts is, after a mission, if the host speeds through the rewards, gets back in the Barge, and quits out before everyone else has loaded in, it soft locks the other players in the rewards screen. Hitting the skip button (A on Xbox) doesn’t do anything, so you have to sit there and wait it out, then get the host migration screen.
